Shuri pubraids Suez Canal and wrestles control.
So here I am on a super-mixed rotation server with a team randomizer between each round. You know, the kind of server you go to when you want to play Russian Roulette with your War College Ribbon. Anyway. We've just come off a not-too-bad loss on a Shuhia Taiba Conquest match and we're now preparing for a Suez Canal Titan.
I create a squad and get to work. It's then that I notice the commander is busy in either the tank or APC - and he refuses to give up either. Moreover, he spams "Get out!" whenever someone steps in. Needless to say, the enemy picks up the silos with next to no effort, while we are left with sporadic intel, no answers to our supply requests, and learn that the CO has a very, very bad K/D ratio with armored vehicles.
I warn the commander to do his job. Since he provides no sensible answer, I call mutiny.
It fails.
A teammate calls a mutiny.
It fails too.
I call a mutiny again. I figure, if those of us who make sense spam the damn mutiny enough, surely the commander will either get demoted or fed up and leave.
Waddya know, midway through the mutiny, the CO resigns. I don't see him anywhere else on the map - I assume he got disconnected somehow.
I take the reins.
I get into a warm and cozy spot on my Titan. We are 50%-80% on the shields and both are going down steady.
Me: "Squad leaders, press PAGE UP if you can hear me."
There are three squads. I hear three affirmatives. Glee!
I give a global briefing, send my men to their task, and start giving the intel. Enemy spots, UAVs, vehicle movement. We manage to hold out own enough to go critical while the enemy drops just below 20% shields.
"We need volunteers for Titan defense."
"Right-O."
"Squad 5 is on Titan defense. All other squads, Titan assault at shields down."
I go down the stairs and hide near console 2.
The enemy Titan shield goes down. Squad 2 heads in there and blows up both lower consoles.
"Squad 2, I've dropped some supplies on the back deck."
The enemy didn't react until it was reactor core time. With this push from squad 2, we even out the match.
Since I'm inside the Titan, I can hear the intruder warnings. I raise my head from my console and manage to drop 5 enemy soldiers before they catch on and realize where I am and kill me.
Meanwhile, squad 2 meets heavy opposition. I order them back on the ground for silos. Squad 4 is already at work doing that, splitting its time between that and blitz defense.
I stand near the shield of corridor 3 and manage to intercept a few more invaders while my team works the silos.
As we finally lose console 3, I get to the reactor core, drop two foes, get killed, and squad 5 arrives to clean up the rest of the mess. I leave the reactor core to them.
I spot-check the enemy Titan. Nothing!
"Squad 2, suspect enemy Titan is empty. Going to check."
Squad 2 catches on and decides to accompany me. I land on the enemy Titan and we see a deserted reactor core.
We manage to land a few hits in there before a massive defense arrives and destroys us all.
The enemy starts to press on further against us. They're trying to get the upper hand back. I order squad 4 to defense and notify squad 2 of the empty silos. I pod to Silo 3 and start capping along with them. During my cap times, I spot-check each silo, and correct squad 2 if they head into a danger zone. I personally avoid places with enemy armor.
We finally manage to cap all the silos. Just at that time, with a missile's gap between our hulls, the enemy Titan explodes.
VICTORY!
Morales of the story:
-Sucky commanders are sucky.
-VoIP is your friend.
-Microphones are your religion.
-The fact that you can see motion mines on the satellite view is a lifesaver.
-If you call up a mutiny, have the courtesy to take the command seat if it gets freed up.
-Proper intel will lead you to victory. And you don't necessarily need a UAV or SAT Track to give proper intel.GOD IS DEAD. THE N00BS TEAMKILLED HIM.
Titan specialist!

*wipes a tear from his eye*
Bravo! Bravo! That was beautiful. At any rate, I liked your morals:
1. yes, sucky commanders *can* really drag down the team
2. VOIP = Very Handy
3. Mics = The ark of the covenant ("it is a transmitter for speaking to God")(I'm on an Indiana Jones hype atm)
4. Didn't know MM show up on the screen. I've never spend that much time zoomed in
5. Very true, if you call the mutiny it's because you will accept the responsibility
6. Proper intel is possibly the only thing higher up than VOIP in terms of best friends
And this also goes to show there are those pubbies out there who can be well coordinated. It sounds like you had to put a lot of effort into coordinating Shuri, but you pulled out a win. Nice!----------------------------------------
