How do you shut pubbies up?

Last night a few 8th Merc members (Rage4Order, ThaDoctah and myself) decided to go on a little titan run. We bounced through a couple servers until we all landed on the MoonGamers Titan server.

We chose it because it was a 3/4 full titan server with a 32 player limit. Personally, I think this is where titan mode really shines. When you get more players running around the titan it turns into a real mess but with only about 12-15 members on each team it takes real coordination and swift tactics to keep silos and take down titans.

The first couple rounds were quite uneventful. The fact was we really just went on a pub run to (as Rage so nicely put it) *mess around* (swear words removed ). Rage and Doc tooled around in the gunship and I did some silo hopping and generally supported them and called out targets.

At some point there were a couple pubbies that started flinging insults over the global chat. It was the normal juvenile content you would expect to find on any pub server with frustrated 12 year olds playing. The only difference this night though...no one from TG made ANY response. We didn't type a single letter of text into the global chat. But boy did the smack talk continue.

The very next round without so much as a word between us we quickly tightened up and got more serious. It was as if we were all thinking the same thing although none of us said it. We wanted to shut them up but we weren't going to do it with petty words. We were gonna do it with actions as only TG can.

We got right to work on Highway Tampa. As squad leader I decided we would employ my favorite strategy. Hold silo 3 and skip around the outside silos. As the round progressed we squeezed them into one silo as I had hoped. We held four silos and decided to let them keep their one silo. They kept pushing attack after attack at us at 3 but we held them off time after time.

Their shields were quickly fading and as I looked to see if we had a commander that could give us intel I saw a familiar name. TG-3rd Zhohar. Zhohar joined our squad in time to hear the exciting announcement that the titan shield was ready to fall.

I immediately pointed my troops to the east and we started our long trek to the enemy titan dispatching gunships and armor along the way. Once we were on top I deployed the beacon and we began our onslaught. Console two went down at the end of my Clark with Zhohar watching my back. On the way to console one we dispatched some enemies who were kind enough to give us RDX. After making quick work of consoles 1 and then 3 we found resistance at console 4. Rather than rushing we set up a perimeter defense and chucked several frags into the corridor. Things went silent so Rage, Doc and I did some investigating only to find an RDX ambush waiting for us. I thought for sure we were done. My body flew through the air and landed several feet away. Luckily Zhohar had the situational awareness to hang back and in just a few zaps of his defib we were all back up and the console was done.

Once we hit the reactor room there was really no stopping us. With a sentry and APM's at the back of the room holding them off we blew the titan to pieces.

All 4 TG members sit atop the (individual and squad)leader board with a decisive victory in their belts.

We went on a few more rounds and were joined by Heavy from the 9th as well. More rounds of domination ensued and a funny thing happened.....The global chat went SILENT.

That is how you shut a pubbie up.

Eventually we shut the server down as usual. No one was interested in going against TG another round so we called it a night.

Thanks to those that served under me. It's a rare thing to see me SL because there is usually someone more fit for the job but this night you guys shined and gave me the itch to SL more.
