26Sept08 Password night - Gibralter
Nice finish, can't believe we lost. Final score was? 0-2. PAC managed to get Harbor fairly quick after the 2nd or 3rd buggy rush was successful. Central camp went down, my squad was tasked with holding Ruins and EU base. PAC never made it past the "hole in the wall" leading into Ruin, and the action was quick and all over the place until EU lost Roadblock.
Once PAC held all the three flags leading into Ruin, the stalemate began. EU was down roughly 7 tickets for a long, long time only to make up the difference and lead by 2 tickets somewhere around the 10 ticket spot. We held our 2 ticket lead for what seemed like an eternity with neither commander allowing his squads to push. A rocket, grenade, ganz fest ensued as usual, but with the stakes seemingly much higher. Kudos to Reaper for commanding and showing patience (yes really) in our botched attempts at using the Walker as an offensive weapon late in the round. Thanks to my squad for holding back in a position that was fraught with peril from all the rockets incoming, and getting every revive the last 10 minutes. Well played round by both sides, and very lengthy at that. Here's the round scores picture, post your thoughts.

Re: 26Sept08 Password night - Gibralter
Extremely tense round. Actually the final score was 0-1 me thinks. Real nail biter there especially the last 10 minutes because neither side was willing to give up a ticket.
Oh and just now we tried a shotty-only round on 16p belgrade...didnt work out so well...because some people used rockets and assault rifles
Still I had lots of fun and hope to do it again next week

Yeah, something screwed up on those teamwork scores - but it was a great round nonetheless.
Great playing with everyone!

Re: 26Sept08 Password night - Gibralter
Yes, the final score was EU 0, PAC 1. The final minute had EU at 3 tickets and PAC at 1 ticket, and then the orbital from the heavens fell and put the round to bed. It was a fantastic round that lasted forever, and it only started with 200 tickets, can you imagine if we started it with 300?
I had the server set to give everyone Level 1 unlocks regardless of whether they earned them or not. I died enough to each incarnation of the catman to know that they were doing A-OK.

Re: 26Sept08 Password night - Gibralter
I was watching and praying for someone on EU to take a grenade, and sure enough, on the East wall between the hole and ruins, two people went down to a grenade. At that point it was 2-1 (EU-PAC) I believe, and I furiously mashed my key down to get the orbital off! Seriously, I dropped about 5 orbitals in a 10 ticket span. The game took forever, but I think it was the first time I have ever had fun as a commander. Thanks to my team for holding back!

Video starts with my team down about 9 tickets:score is around ~ 60 tickets. I really wish I had the audio, the sound really showed how the attacking team basically stopped once tickets got low and we were up a few ticketsA captain of the most awesome IHS ever and remember to burn before you pillage.

Re: 26Sept08 Password night - Gibralter
I'm not so sure if something really did screw up or not... I was leading a squad on EU that round and the revives going around were ridiculous, we were basically set up to the north of ruins along the big fence wall, following Reaper's orders to lob grenades over the catwalk wall, and since we were somewhat spread out, there were only a few times I didn't get revived.
The last 20 tickets in that round honestly lasted about 10-15 minutes, and it was a bit frustrating at times as it seemed like we were fighting a losing battle for the last half of the round, until at about 10-10 or so, EU grabbed a slim lead and it was like "damn guys we could actually win this, REVIVE!!" But alas, it was not meant to be, but what a great round.
It goes without saying that every password night I have joined in on, there has been at least one EPIC round, if not several. This was one of them.
