Personal Best
Well. I've loved playing on your server for awhile and read tons and tons of info. Figured I'd put a post up showing what I learned from you guys.
We were playing Camp Gibralter on a full map (as usual for the TG server) and I was SL on EU. For a little bit, we were holding decently, until a TG squad smoked the entire main road. I mean the entire squad must have smoked. Then I see a little blur run up to the Harbor flag and suddenly a whole other squad spawned on the flag and it instantly went down.
We fell back to Toll Station and were able to hold it for awhile, but our south flank got thinned out and two squads ran across the railings and jumped down around the building just South of the Toll Station flag. Suffice to say, it fell too.
What we noticed too late was that another PAC squad had punched through with an FAV and were able to infiltrate Central Camp. Before we knew it, we were drawing lines between Central Camp and Ruins.
Then the grenades.
Lots of grenades. I mean all you could hear over the occasional sputter of radio were explosions everywhere. People were falling dying, reviving, and throwing grenades what seemed to be at the same time. I took position behind my squad and dropped a resupply kit and held my other one. It was a massive game of catch was being played over teh walls with grenades. Eventually both my resupplys were completely depleted. We must have kept this up for 15-20 minutes.
By this time, our team was losing by sheer attrition. So I got the insane scheme to cloak through the massive line of red on my radar and sneak into Central Camp. All my squad members heard was, "Squad, hold spawn." Then silence. Suddenly, half dead and completely exhausted, I called out, "SPAWN! SPAWN! SPAWN!" Suddenly my whole squad popped in around me and I clicked on the active camo and moved up stairs.
Before the PAC knew what was happening, it was too late. We had captured Central Camp, allowing our entire team to spawn in and hold it for a last stand. On my last legs, I took advantage of the momentum and tried to move myself towards Toll Station, only to be greeted by a wall of bullets fired from a line of PAC troops.
Afterword.
In the end, EU lost the round pretty much from the get go. Hats off the PAC squad leaders TG-Irr MDFubar and TG Foxlion for successful SL tactics. Thanks to all whole participated in that round with me on both sides. Also, thanks to all those people who bothered to take time on TG forums to post really informative and well thought-out guides and strategies. Couldn't have done it without you.

Re: Personal Best
Good games Psy and thanks for SLing. Personally I thought that round was terrible(not a fan of the spam standoffs) but some of the other rounds were fun.

Re: Personal Best
Glad to have you with us, Psy, and glad to be picking off the bits of your active-camo off the end of my shottie

Though, I'm with Mantis on this one. Wasn't a huge fan of that round. Your breakthrough made things a bit more fun.Fight!

Re: Personal Best
Thank you, I must agree on the fact that the stand-offs can get a bit stale. Glad to see you took the initiative to go for a flag. There are other ways too. The idea is to split the forces and keep two fronts.....use your imagination there is more that hasn't been mentioned....

Re: Personal Best
Yeah that tends to happen a lot to me as well...
I'm at church, <BAM> crap shotgunned by Zho. Alright spawn Command, <BAM> shotgunned by Zho...
I swear sometimes there has to be at least three different Zho's out there all playing at the same time. How else could he be everywhere at once?

Re: Personal Best
My personal best was Suez on TG server. My squad was tasked with defending dry lake. Zhohar and his crew assaulted us and neutralized my squad suffered 1 or 2 casualties within his squad. I opened up with a slew of bullets, rockets, shotgun shells, grenades and finally the pistol. Finally succeeding in repelling the attack. Then it repeated itself again almost exactly with the same result. Knowing how Zhohar's skill as a soldier is only surpassed by his uncanny ability to organize an ironclad offensive I was feeling rather proud of myself.
As far as points, my highest was 319 as a combat commander in minsk. That was pretty cool too.

Re: Personal Best
Shh...If you say his name, he might come back. Seriously though, back on topic, my personal best would be this one time on Camp Gib where my squad just steamrolled over the enemy. We hopped from flag to flag, and quickly crushed any resistance like the hand of a dictator. The rest of the game was just brutal suppression.
Point-wise, the best point round I had was 109 points SMing. But the satisfaction I get from a good, fun round is worth much, much more.|TG-Irr|Adaxa

Yeesh jazy, you've unlocked Pandora's Box.
Zhohar is just the Prophet of Doom. He heralds the Doom. And soon little Doom-lettes will be swarming all over you screaming "Pwnies!" while shotgunning your ragdoll corpse.
And by Doom-lettes, I mean Lyra.

Re: Personal Best
mmm, those are interesting.
there was one just like that tonight actually, where the longest you could go in the eastern corridor near Central was enough to revive the guy in front of you. Pretty crazy, i must say.
