Apologies for Berlin last night 4/27

Last night on the Defending side of Berlin I laid down my mines and a SM drove up in the APC needing a Gunner

I hopped in and proceeded to get 35 kills with zero deaths. Props to my Driver (I forgot your name)

HOWEVER I finished the game with 8 points. Yes 35 kills + Driver assist points - TKs = 8 points. I don't care about points, they matter not. I DO care about my poor performance and wanted to say I am sorry.

I know I got HellHarry down range once, I watched as he ran right into the area my mortar shells where headed. Other than that I think my kills came from clipping walls or bombing the flag as it went down FAST. As we all know that mortar fires 3 shells and that 3rd one caught corners on buildings too many times.

    Again my deepest apologies.

Meh, I wouldn't sweat it. We all have out bad days every now and then. This was just a bad day for you, it happens. Just keep playing and having fun, you weren't Tking on purpose so you shouldn't have to worry.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Those mortar shells are devastating on a large area and sometimes there are friendlies a little close. I was mortaring from statue one day and it seemed like every time my driver moved the 2nd or last mortar would catch a light pole or tree.

35 kills + assists = about 45/40 points - TKs (- 3 points per TK) and if you end up with 8 you had about 12TKs. It happens easily with APC especially when driver starts driving so there is no worries. Couple tricks to prevent this are:
Always check minimap where most of the hostiles are. Try not to fire anywhere nearby your team mates, especially if there are squad leads there!

TKs happen and there isn't much you can do to prevent them as people tend to run into action. When you are next time as gunner in APC it'll go much better

If you are driving the APC on Berlin, friendly fire is just a part of the game. Let me share a piece of advice reaper gave me once:

If you're not killing friendly with the APC, then you're probably not doing your job right.

My friends call me Y. My enemies call me... well, that's a secret.

Well then, if that's the case, I'm probably one of the best APC gunners there ever was, because I kill LOTS of friendlies.

I know with a handle like mine I have to be extra vigilant. Easy for people to jump to the wrong conclusion.

I must admit I do not believe I saw a single punish the whole fight. I still feel bad. I think 1/2 the TKs were preventable had I done a better job.

You will improve, so don't worry about it . Though I understand how you feel as it is similar how I feel when I do a bad job as a Squad Lead. Failing at SL really doesn't get people TKed, but I still feel horrible and I wish I could have done a better job. Just have to pick yourself up, dust off, and dive right back into the battle.

That's ok..it was only HellHarry. If it was anyone else, that would be unacceptable!

Sometimes a couple of team kills is worth it if it helps the overall big picture. I'm not condoning team killing, but sometimes you may have to do something to help your team that could hurt one of your teams mates.
