    Verdun Travestry

I would like to commend our CO on the Verdun round last night, VanGohgsKnife. He performed well - while the team burned.

When my squad quickly took and held Hillside, the rest of our team (all 16 of them) set up between Valley and Church. I informed the CO of our situation and that we were setting up a defence, I took notice that not a single man was guarding Valley flag. I sent a suggestion to the CO (who I am sure took it more as a confidence boost than real Intel), and he sent the team-wide order to fall back to Valley (save our squad).

Now, my squad was kind of busy, so I didn't notice what happened over the next 1:30-2:00 minutes, but when I heard a team wide alert from the CO that they had a squad on Valley, I checked to see where our team was. They had advanced even farther toward Church than before. Not one of them was dead or at the UCB. Every one of them was just sitting out there, 60% of the way to Church.

We lost Valley, and we lost the game (only saved by a server crash a few minutes from round end). To everyone who played on our team that round: you should be ashamed of yourselves. Not only did you blatantly disobey a direct order, but you failed to see what any sane person could have by looking at the map. Absolutely shameful. The only good thing is that there were only 3-4 SLs who were a part of this kind of insurrection.

To VanGohgsKnife: you did what could be expected of a leader, and I hope you do not give up from frustration from this event.

    Re: Verdun Travestry

This is a sad sight. I was commanding on Tunis Harbour, and even though we had 2 flags, 3 of my squads continued to push on the 3rd. I ordered them to all hold 1 of the 2 flags we had, but they would still be half way pushing for the 3rd flag, and as you know an undefended flag is soon not our flag. After trying and trying to cap a flag back (With 1 squad pinned down stupidly by a walker way out of play) we finally took a second flag, but did anyone spawn there? No..

I feel your pain. I do my bit of defending when I think it's needed, but mostly people want to attack, and don't think tactically at all. Defending can provide a lot of action as well, by the 2 minute wait for it is too long for most people........

And I was on the verge of reporting 3/4 of my SL's, however I felt my time would be better supporting the 2 squads who were doing their best.

In both cases, how many of the SLs were TG regulars?

Unfortunately, I pretty sure there was at least one. Now, that doesn't mean anything chronic is happening here, but it's something to keep a very close eye on.
