Fun sniper squads today!
Just wanted to say that I had a lot of fun in the all-sniper squads I was a part of today. The maps were Operation Shingle and Belgrade. Shingle was a game I entered late in, and joined in the sniper squad, and we had a blast picking off people on top of columns.
On belgrade, we did a great job following CO orders and providing suppressing fire from the monorail on Com tower and statue, and keeping mobile to avoid rockets. We moved around well when the time changed to retake pond, and forced the enemy to keep their heads down, or revive the guy next to them three times before we had to reload, effectively stopping advances. We did a great job avoiding dying repeatedly as well. Great job to all my SM's!

Re: Fun sniper squads today!
oh we got creamed, but we had a blast. That was the round I came in late on, and was not SL'ing. There was a 150 ticket deficit when I entered the game. The belgrade one we lost by 11 tickets, but only because it was a great last-minute comeback by the opposing team

Re: Fun sniper squads today!
I am not trying to start a conversation about how pointless a sniper squad is, because it really is situational. I am just saying great job to my SM's, who took orders well, and as a result we held off a few attacks against our flags.

Re: Fun sniper squads today!
What about that one round with the slacker that had a Lambert Recon instead of a Sniping Recon?

I was running the sniper squads for a few rounds. I did it because I was bored with the normal run and gun. We had a good time and that's all that matters!

Perhaps your teammates who weren't in your squad and didn't have a chance of victory felt differently? don't get me wrong. it's always fun to do something different and I don't begrudge anyone who tries new stuff. But keep in mind that your team, of whom at least 17 aren't in your squad, may be adversely affected and have less fun because of it. Please just make sure to weigh this when you make your decisions to goof around. I'm not saying not to do it... just that everyone's actions have consequences for everyone else in the game.

Re: Fun sniper squads today!
Zoraster is right.
I remember these rounds well and i was on your side. Not to talk bad or something but there where a few situations where the CO said something about " You have squad # ( i don´t remember the number anymore) to support you " and to make a long story short my squad was laying critical wounded at the eastern dock flag .. starring at the sky, still waiting for the backup/support.
Well whatever, do what your pleased to do, but take a second if your not letting your teammates down.
Just my 2 euro-cent
