On tonight's Titan server, I managed to "earn" someone a Purple Heart by persisting in a futile assault on the enemy Titan core room. The combination of APMs, sentry guns, and grenade spam made life brief and painful on that Titan. To my squad, I'm really sorry.

On a lighter note, I think that was the most fun I had on Titan mode, despite the constant deaths.

I haven't gotten a purple hrt yet. Its actually not even on my "To Do" list.

Don't worry about it though. Most times, assaulting the core becomes a HUGE cluster^%#* on that upper platform. Main reason is that a lot of peole defending that thing just grab support class, set down an ammo hub, and rifle off grenades. The ammo hub keeps supplying them and its just an endless chain of retardation. Most times my suggestion in these cases are to forget about the core, and just grab the silos. If you're never going to make it in, don't keeping dying to re-assure yourself your not going to make it in.

I have like 3 of em. Oh well. =/ I just forced into being SL and yet and it was for the first time. I didn't even know how to drop the squad beacon, but I tried to issue orders as best I could. Anyway, the TG Titan server is a blast.

There's a thread where I spammed PK rockets into the core room. I think it's mildly effective at damaging the core. The real advantage is giving some pain back to the defenders and hoping you can get into the room.

If it were a lower corridor, it would probably be better to go back to silo capping unless you had a small squad holding up a larger defending squad(s).

I had a 4 man squad last night and was tasked to futiley attack the enemy Titan. They had a full squad, if not more in there, ( I know BHack was there as we killed each other in a gun fight once ). Our Titan ended up being overrun in the end, but I don't think there was anything we could have done unless our squad was allowed to give up Titan attack and go for the Silos as we were losing there as well. We had 1 squad defending the Titan, and I'm not certain how many people were on that squad, but judging from the amount of red dots on the minimap when the scan went by, they got pretty overwhelmed.

I was probably in some of those games you were talking about cuz I know BHack was in there too along with a bunch of other TGs...I was in for like 5 rounds and we constantly had trouble keeping those silos locked down. Tried like heck though =(

Yeah, we did win; immediately after consoles were blown, we got in and managed to put some damage on the core with guns and a 5 pack of RDX, before the slaughter began.
