Just wanted to post a quick message to the people who popped in my squads today. Sorry no names because there were so many of you, a lot of whom I had never seen before, but many thanks all the same. Felt like gaming a bit earlier in the day but the POE2 sever hadn't started up yet so I decided to try some 2142. My last time playing on the
TG server was probably back once or twice way back in november or early december when I first got the game (yah I was one of those 'oh no must stay with
BF2 because 2142 is evil and hating it is the cool thing to do!' kind of guys), so I still wasn't used to the entire customization deal and whatnot. Hence the reason my first squad name was 'noob' so I could figure things out. Imagine my surprise when it filled up immediately! That's never happened before!
Sorry to those ppl who were probably very disappointed that round. It wasn't until maybe 4 or 5 rounds later before I finally got the hang of things. Some rounds were pretty exciting, others were just plain terrible, but thanks to everyone who endured my squadleading. It was very nice to see a healthy bunch of new TGers keeping the server going too. Special thanks to penguineer who was way too cheerful as always as an awesome SM and SL, and to the 7th&Co. (fehmart, arf and the rest) for some absolutely intense fighting, especially on that map-with-the-bridge-lock. Suez canal?
Maybe I should play this game more often...
