Hey TG'ers - I recorded another squadplay episode over the weekend on the TG conq server.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...81829329430967 I still can't post URLs, so just be a man and copy-and-paste the link! ![]() I was fortunate to have Bommando and 50AE on the squad with me and our squad accomplished some major ownage. I fogot to zoom-in on the scoreboard at the end, but you can see the squad at the top of the team with Bom' taking the gold, 50AE taking the bronze and myself taking a good feeling of accomplishment ![]() Watch the end as we take the ruin flag - the ENTIRE enemy team spawns and we come sliding down the hill right into their midst! That was insane! Well played guys ![]() |

Personally not a fan of the music. I found it distracting. Another excellent video, though.
On a more technical note, how is the video encoded when you upload it to google? I'm having trouble getting decent quality, so I'm thinking of just uploading the highest quality video I can and just letting google do it's thing to it.

Unfortunately I can't seem to get my Mpeg2 to work anymore since my restore - so I've been using high-quality WMV format for upload. Two more tricks to remember - encode progressive, NOT interlaced, and make sure to remove any motion blur effects your video editing program might add (I always forget this one). This will help to remove compression artifacts and should give you a cleaner streaming vid. PM me when you make a new vid dirty ![]() |

Re: More TG Squadplay Goodness
That was an incredible round from start to finish. We bulldozed superior numbers all the way across the bottom of the map there while Experiment626 took the top of the hill and worked his way down.
That final assault on the Office Ruins was insane. The UAV was absolutely filled with red blips. When I saw you slide down that hill, all I could think was "Oh, crap". I still have no idea how we managed to clean them out of there. It happened in a matter of 2 minutes. Great squad leading from you and teamwork from the squad. Very few deaths between us due to timely revives and awareness of our friendly grenades. It's always good when a squad just clicks like that. Taking the top 5 spots on the team was a bonus. I'm a bit bummed you missed that zoom-in Orca. I think I ended up like 30-6 with a 4.10 SPM and I was hoping for some gloatage ![]() I picked up a couple of TG player dog tags that round too ![]() EDIT: I encourage people to watch the minimap during the vid, since it shows a lot of the flanking manoeuvres used by the squad. Especially at the Church, where I think it was IMI-50AE and me who swung around North while the rest of the squad hit the flag from the South. The guys at the South provided the distraction as the larger force and our enemy's attention was directed at them. We naded the guys facing the other way and moved in to rez our guys again. You'll see good squads do this a lot, where without even saying anything, a couple of guys will peel off together to pinch the enemy between two fireteams. You see it again when Orca flanks the bottom of the Town Center stairs after I report the guys who killed me there. By that time we'd already cleaned them up, but you can see how rapidly we mop up our opponents each time by skirting the area and removing the threat. Extra shout out to IMI, who 'buddied up' with me for those flanking moves and our mutual revives really kept us rolling. Last edited by Bommando; 02-05-2007 at 08:44 PM. |

Re: More TG Squadplay Goodness
English only is a big disadvantage. Hearing someone throw down a health pack or throw a grenade in the opposite language than your current team immediately lets you know that enemy is near. There's only a few terms that you need to memorize in Russian, but it definitely helps.

Re: More TG Squadplay Goodness
I was only in your squad once that night and that was it. It was an amazing round. When Ruins went neutral I didn't think we had a chance to get it. Then somehow we managed to drop in behind and cap it no sure how but it was great.
