Re: Sorry bout that

It wasn't that bad. What was interesting, though, was riding gunner with DeadOnAim in the Gunship. Talk about a few wild rides.

I finally got my promotion and was able to get rockets for my assault kit from a field upgrade... only to run out of them quickly and not find someone to drop a resupply nearby. Switching from a Support kit to an Assault kit takes some getting used to. Not everything has the ammo capacity of a Ganz I guess.

Yeah, the rockets are one of the best unlocks IMO. I'm assault all the time, guess you just have to make sure your going to contact with someone before you shoot. That way you don't waste ammo.

Re: Sorry bout that

Meh! Pilum was great at first, but then I found out the limitations compared to the wire-guided standard launcher.

Pilum is great for the eng who is really close in and can thus shoot then duck and know the round is going to hit. For moving targets (PAC tanks are ridiculously hard to hit even when they're not far out if they're even moving slightly....and that drift capability is maddening for the eng trying to hit them....EU tanks are a little easier if you fire along the track path), the wire-guided launchers are simply superior.

And rockets ARE simply awesome. Though on titan assault, the shottie add-on is equally useful, so it's hard to decide which to carry for that. For everything else, there's rockets.

Re: Sorry bout that

Speaking of all this; a special thanks to the person who punished me, last night, after running in front of my extremely-long ranged tank shot into massed infantry, which I made to provide some ranged artillery support onto a heavily defended flag.

Using your head is a lost art, I suppose.
