AAR: the good squad
This video was taken about a week ago. I joined up with Exploding silvers squad and we proceeded to defend church on cerbere. I thought I would upload this one because it shows the perspective of good squadplay from a squadmate rather than a squad leader. Voice coms are very effective in this one. The video is 7 mins long. I end the video just before my kids start climbing all over me. you can occasionally hear them over my mic during the round.

downloaded vid is better quality than the one embedded in the page.
filefront is pretty slow right now. you can try downloading off of my site. I am getting 600Kbps download speed right now.

Re: AAR: the good squad
deja vu
EDIT 1
this video is giving away my secret of church defence, that the squad leader is outside the wall at the front entrence of the church. Resonably safe for SL & close for squad to respawn on and charge/cover flag. Also I like to position myself high up the road inbetween the flags (I play engineer and mine the road while there) and move to which every flag is busy, to be the closer spawn point.
Sc1ence's rambo style is how I play when not SLing, as its such a difference from my normal 'be the spawn point around the corner' approach.
EDIT 2
@Sc1ence : at the start you panned to minimap, to hold it there you would need to follow that up with a 'crop minimap'
EDIT 3
I really want that 3rd grenade unlockLast edited by Exploding_Silver; 05-09-2007 at 02:46 PM.

Re: AAR: the good squad
yeah, that is about as rambo as I get. there were so many good assault class squadmates around i just let loose and hoped for a revive. I tried to coordinate my actions with them, but loosely.
part of it was I had just overclocked my mouse to 1000mhz from 125 and lowered my sens settings. -Yes, you can overclock your mouse
I was focused on twitch. I took the vid more to evaluate my aiming and movement with the new settings.

for the info, check out this thread.
in short, you overclock the poling rate of the usb port that your mouse is on. the effect for me is quite impressive. I get MUCH more control over my mouse and am able to lower my sensativity and speed up my mouse movements without loosing any tracking.

Re: AAR: the good squad
I use a Razer Copperhead, and you can adjust the sensitivity (up to something like 2k dpi) and USB poll rate on the fly with up to 5 pre-stored profiles on the mouse's memory, or map adjustements to buttons. It's a pretty spiffy mouse I had to pick up, because my wireless mouse kept losing packets and when your gun locks on, well....

Hahha, ah ok, the USB port. I had thought you were somehow upping its DPI or something else. Now I can see how thats useful.
