Suez Canal : Oil Station Fun

On one of my forays as SL last night, we had a somewhat quiet Commander (no orders, no responses to my queries) so I chose to defend Oil Station. Didn't plan on defending it that long, as usually there's some give and take in getting/losing flags, of course, but we wound up keeping it the entire game. Lost the game (grrr) but kept the base out of PAC hands - and they wanted it bad!

I had a few fellow TG-21st guys with me (and forgive me if I leave you out) -
Insunabula, Machowner, G--Man, Rage4order - and some other guys. I know we had a couple of other squads helping at times, esp. when it came down to Fuel Dump being the only EU base alive.

It made for one enjoyable round... We mined the roads leading in, took them on at the top of hill, Pilum'd a few tanks and buggies, and wound up keeping it in EU hands the entire round. We had at least 6-7 buggy incursions where they got right into the flag... but we beat them back. At one point I know we had at least 4 tanks encircling the base.

That round really made me wish I had FRAPS running, it was a fun one. Thanks to the SM's under me, and the other EU players who dropped by for the fun. Great game everyone.

I was on the PAC side that round and dog is right, we never took the flag. We tried several times to no avail, that place was locked up tight. After about 4 tries we decided to just hold on to the other flags for the win. Great round.

I was telling Rage earlier how I nailed him with an AT gun at 200 feet - I've never seen a smear run uphill before Good times guys, good times.
