    AAR: 6/19 Sidi, Air superiority

Who: The 3rd, 2 non-TG members. and myself

The AAR: It was a cold morning at the Sidi Power Plant. Awaiting a monsterous force from the north to capture this plant and use it for thier own. We started to mass ourselves and gather our supples. We formed our ranks and devised a plan of defense. I was on my own, I got shoot down by some new homing missles that the PAC coalition have been working on. Luckly for myself they didn't explode on impact but about 3 seconds to early. But I did manage to cause a fuel leak. The 4th Recon boyz picked me up on a old 21st century jeep and dropped me of for pickup by the 12th Titan division. Well the 12 got delay by a sneak attack at about 50 clicks NE of our location. There goes my ride back to the 9th's barrack.

I was out of place and I didn't know anyone here. Although I saw a few guys from the 3rd Special Forces. I heard about these guys, meatheads or beef brains that get themselves killed. Well thats what they said in flight school. I know these guys were good. They specialized in close quaters combat. They'll throw a knife better then you can shoot with a Zeller.

A few hours past by and a tall dark man by the callsign Demonte approched me. He asked if I was the one they call Eroak that got shot down 20 clicks west of here. I was a bit hesistent, I was a bit intimated bby this fellow that had a easy 80 lbs of mussle on me. I did manage to squeek out a "yes'er, What do you need?" He heard all about me and my back getting blowen out by a frag a few years back, The newly formed 3rd was right up there with the 9th a few years back and they flew me out. I didn't remember, Thoes drugs kill your memory. But besides that, He also heard about my flying skill. He asked all sorts of questions and only a few I could awnser. But He told me that there Type-17 squad got wiped out a a plantary EMP bombardment and there Type-4's had no pilots. Demonte asked me... No he told me they need to fly tonight as the PAC titan moves into the area.

The only advantage we had was the Su-543 type Titan doesn't have a carrier for UD-6 Talons. That ment they only had a beefed up armored coloum and drop ships. If we didn't get those Type-4's up in the air we be dead meat.

2 of the 3 Type-4's had piston fractures. They were shot up in a oribital Strike about 2 nights ago. I guess they thought it could soften up the area for thier Titan to move it, Well it worked. We got 1 single Type-4 that needs a new guidance system. Guess what I go stuck doing? Yeah I hate computers. I worked on them for a living for years until I joined the EU forces. Luckly a fellow from the 3rd by the CS of GuardianX11X. This guy had 3 knives on one pant leg and the longest barreled Zeller I ever seen. I didn't know what to think, Is this guy going to cutt me up or going to help me? To my advange, thier XO sent him over to me to help me with the guidance systems. I was pretty impressed with this "meatheads" knowledge of computer systems and programing. He reset the entire missle triangler IR guaidance systems in a hour. I couldn't do it in 3 hours no less.

1 night passed by. We thought the PAC attack was going to come at 0400 hours but never did. They held off. I knew why. They wanted the drop ships to see were out weaked armor coloums were. So they could strike fast and hard.

it was about 1100 hours now. The radio flared with activity and the bases XO called all men to stations. Sc1ence yelled at his men and they lineds up. "We got the deal of dealing with the drop ships. The means we got bird and one trans to work with! What are we going to do with this mess?" I thougth to myself and reserved from saying a very grim thought. The one man quickly replied with "Were are going to take down and all costs, sir!". "Good..." said science. That glare to his said more then "Good". It said a thousand words that I couldn't hear. I knew I was in good hands from there.

We departed. Guardian came with me and told me hes going to be my gunner. After working with him for many hours, I trust him and knew we make the best chance that this plant has. The other men were going to use the transprt and a mobil anti-armor platform. Who would have thought that the transport could do such a act?

The day came a intense but easy fight. The PAC nver new they have a bird to deal with let alone a anti-armor transport to boot. Thier forces never had a ouce of anti-air traning. Tank after tank rolled up and then they main road became grid locked is busted armor. Thier transport made a few landings. but 3 out fo 4 got shot down my myself and Guardian. They didn't even have a chance of defending themselves. The new guiadance system we installed working like a charm and not a single missle went to waste. Altough we blew about 40 missle pods and the racks were red hot. We made each shot count.

The northern EU titan finally got flanked by the 12th's Titan. This titan was the CV flagship of the EU forces. It carried 3 type-4 squads. It only took 1 hour to destroy the titan. Thats the quickest a titan has ever fallen to date.

I guess I need to watch what I think about meatheads.

Moral of the story is: Death from above! Good job last night guys it was a blast. Sorry I didn't remember all the names from the squad.
PS: Sorry I'm not that good at grammer!

That's what screen shots are for! Actually, Eroak was the pilot of the gunship and I was the gunner. The gunship and the transport did a good job supporting each other.

Yeah, sorry Demonte. I couldn't for the life of me remember who was in the squad other then you. I feel even worse because you were my gunner! But it was still a good story!

The best part was that you and me never got killed once in the gunship the entire round and we came out with the gold and bronze star. I got the bronze and silver star before piloting, bet never the gold. It was something amazing. I wish I could include the details of the Transport guys but I didn't get to see thier action from thier view because we did die at all.

Sadly, some pubby grabbed the Transport at start and we never got to fly cause the mayhem we were planning. Woulda been able to show you something incredibly unorthodox using the transport offensively. I was SLing this round and at one point, Eroak just called out laughing, "I'm in first place in the gunship!" That was a good round, not too much happened on the ground because of you two, and we won by like 150 tickets I believe, but I think it could have also been partly a lack of coordination on their part.

All in all, us "meatheads," did pretty well and had an exceptional pilot covering us.

All I can remember from the round is the constant whirring of my repair gun and hearing the repeated "I really hope this pubby gets shot down so we can fly this thing".

This 'meatheads' reference is interesting. I always referred to my squad mates as 'meatshields'.
