Re: AAR: BFCL Season 2!
Congrats to the 3rd and 9th...
The 21st won by default when the opposing team forfieted...which is a shame because we had all been practicing hard all week working on the strategy for Verdun.
Hopefully this comming up game on Sunday will give us a chance to earn our first true win.|TG-21st| Hydride

Re: AAR: BFCL Season 2!
Sunday August 27th 2007 |TG-21st| vs ]3A[
The 21st pulled off their first real victory tonight against the]3AC[ - 3rd Armored Cavalry.
Round 1:
PAC start, The 21st took a page from the TG-3rd and rushed the South Town with a 5 man “Sword” squad from the east, and a 3 man “Shield” squad from the west. After a brief firefight the 21st were able to secure the flag and hunker down to defend and bleed some tickets from the counter-attack. Meanwhile, a solo recon with camo and light armor swung around to the west behind South Town and managed to capture Command Center just as they took South Town from us. At that time everyone spawned back at Command Center and since we had small lead of five tickets, we set up our defense and let them come to us. To the credit of the ]3AC[ they didn’t just throw themselves against our meat grinder and they hung back and exchanged long range rounds with us, both sides lost equal tickets until we got smart and pulled our forces slightly back to bait them to come up more. They took the bait and we widened our lead to eleven tickets before forcing them back down to roadblock. They didn’t take the bait again and we ended the game 62-51.
Round 2:
The 21st were on the defensive, again we ran a five man “Sword” squad that spawn at South Town and a 3 man “Shield” squad at Road Block. We managed to stop their initial offenses on both Roadblock and South Town before they got one good push to take the flag at South Town neutral. Luckily they were spoiled by a few well laid RDX’s and we recaptured the flag and proceeded to bleed enough tickets to gain a 10 or so point lead on them, by this time the enemy had thrown it’s full weight into South Town and the “Sword” squad was quickly overwhelmed and retreated back to Road Block to regroup with “Shield” squad. Once regrouped we retreated further to Command Center to make a hold there, knowing this time they had to come to us or face defeat. With both squads back at Command Center we were able to hold them off for some time successfully bleeding even more tickets from them. Everything seemed good for awhile, but then our match almost came to a sudden defeat when an enemy jeep managed to make it's way through our lines and to the back of Command Center; releasing a full squad and several spawn beacons to our flank. Pushed on two fronts a massive firefight broke out at Command Center as the 21st fought hard to keep themselves from being capped out. Slowly losing our foothold at Command Center one of the 21st broke off and was able to sneak past down to take South Town just before we lost Command Center (phew!). At this point we were still maintaining a 20 or some ticket lead on them and we quickly pushed up to secure Road Block, which we figured was a more defensible position to bleed those last few tickets. Still anyone’s game we successfully held them off at Road Block and came out maintaining a comfortable cushion of 20+ points.
All in all, two hard fought and well played games on both sides.Last edited by Hydride; 08-27-2007 at 12:27 PM. Reason: Yeesh, gotta proofread my own writting better
