Actually, when we started to take their tickets, we only had 8 or 12 of our own left to their 46 or so. It was amazing watching their tickets dwindle away during the final minutes of the round as our stayed fairly steady. It was a shame that they opted to play another person during the second round.

I know in that final minute of round 1, I must have made at least 6 revives to keep us going. All I could think was "save the tickets!"

Good attempt 9th, its still commendable that you closed the gap, playing with a man down is never easy, and with 8vs8 it makes a big difference. The 21st look forward to next weeks match, it will probably be our toughest to date.

Hahah, no, not at all. We'll make sure to post the BR file of our Camp G round. If PAC doesn't land a flag in the first two minutes, its pretty much over for them. Its all about rockets and walker placement man!

I liked Pro-Mod's approach to this map though, leaving Toll neutral to start off. EU makes it there first, but the chance to fight them off makes for really interesting rounds.

That was cheap indeed. What is the deal with this? Was someone from tyhe 9th not able to show? And why are they allowed to play with an extra guy in the second round?

Yes, we were short handed by one and so were they. It would have been nice if they had fielded the same size team for both rounds, but the BFCL rule book makes no mention of maintaining the the team size throughout each round. I think we are going to suggest that the BFCL admins consider adding something that states if both teams agree to a team size prior to the matdh then that should be size fielded unless a discussion is had and something else is agreed upon. Needless to say, if we had started short and had a man show up willing and able to play the second round, we would not have fielded him unless our oponents we able to field an extra as well.

    Re: AAR: BFCL Season 2!

This week the 3rd SFD fought The Lazy Bastards and the map was good ole Gibby.

Round 1 we were on defense. We set up at toll station on the flanks. TLB sent a few people in while their walker hung back outside the toll station area. We repulsed several half strength attacks on both sides of toll station. They attempted a few second story runs, but each were defeated in turn. The bleed really hammered them as they were not able to break through to the Toll Station flag. The round ended 96-0, 3rd SFD victory.

Round 2 we switched up to offense. Sc1ence was the infantry squad leader and pushed a recon run to the tanks on the flag unopposed for a squad bomb on the far side of the tanks from the flag. The defenders were situated in the buildings to the East and West well out of flag range, and with 6 people in the radius the flag flipped very fast with few shots fired. We cleaned up the Toll station area while Sc1ence proceeded to the next flag. We then capped it and rolled straight back to the end of the line. Cap out 104-0 in favor of the 3rd ending the day with a 200-0 victory.
