Seriously guys, I'm not joking, rockets>medhubs and shock paddles.

But on the note of being a bad shot, I'm a horrible shot. However, for those of us that are horrible shots, this game has a definite reprieve: rockets and the shotgun. Rockets dont have to be accurate to work. Matter of fact, 99.9% of rockets fired by people are aimed over their heads or just in the general vicinity of the player youre trying to kill. Shooting at someone directly with rockets is very hard as your range has to be set almost perfect for the rocket to explode on contact. Otherwise, it will go through them or fall short and do no damage. Watch some videos and BFR files of rockets in action to see how to use them properly. Watch people like Bom especially, as he is a rocket master, as mentioned before. As far as the shotgun goes, it has two advantages: it's scary and it has a spread. This means that you have the ability to make your enemies think twice about coming back around that corner after you, and your aim doesnt have to be dead on to score a hit. Not to mention the fact that the kit provides you with infinite ammo (supply box).

The key to being good at any game around here isnt in your shooting skill anyway. It's how well you play with your squad and team, how well you follow orders, how well you give them, your strategy, your poise in combat, your ability to have fun and be a professional at the same time. I know plenty of people who play on our servers that are horrible shots, but most of them i'd take in my squad over some crack-shot pubbie. Why? Attitude and dependability. They may not have the best aim, but they're quick to revive, follow orders, can take over SL if needed, give supplies and meds on the spot and know how to have a good time. Thats what makes a good player around here. To hell with score, we're all here for a damn good time.

Sorry for including such a big quote in the post, but it was too good not to reply to. I normally would just join servers with low pings, I would attempt to play squad combat with people not interested in squad combat...and Iwould suck.. a lot. Since I have been playing on the TG servers, I realise how great 2142 can be. So hats off to TG and also to Ferris for his comment. Good people make good games...gooder.
