Reaperassault led our squad, taking us way behind the lines again and again, trying to keep the enemy off guard, and not letting our forces settle into a loosing defensive war. We started by arriving at Powerstation in force, only to be kicked off just after capping the point, so we fell back to Eastern, and after settling the resistance there, our squad pushed alone across the boat to Junkyard.

Crossing the water with almost no resistance, we were about to charge across the road separating us from the flag when we noticed a Walker striding towards us with murder on its mind. Global immediately took off running for cover and worked his way around to the railgun. Seeing an opportunity, Reaper ordered us to switch to the PK-74 AR Rocket, and hold our fire. We crouched behind the massive pillar, wondering what he had in mind, when he ordered us to open fire on the walker to confuse the driver.

Simultaneously, our full assault squad launched rockets at the walker, from a variety of angles, and the bewildered driver halfheartedly returned fire at us, hitting only our cover, and blew his shields. I'm sure that he couldn't see Global sneaking into the railgun right under his nose, and 2 or three railgun shots later, he was junk.

Excellent use of unorthodox tactics, excellent communication, and dedicated following of orders saved what should have been a stalled rush, since a walker is more than a match for an all assault squad stuck in the open.

Thank you Madmoonie and Nightstick for being perfect examples of the TG way!

When I heard Reaper say to switch to rockets, I thought it was a joke. I had no idea he had discovered the perfect opportunity for a tactical rocket attack on a walker. It was pretty amusing and satisfying.

Technically, an all-assault squad CAN destroy a walker using rockets. On a walker's front armor, each PK 74 will take one HP away from a walker. That means that with the Northern Strike bonus, five assaults could kill a walker simply by unloading all their rockets at the walker's front. This does not take into account weak spots or the walker's shield, however.

two assaults can take it down with a few clips put into the underbelly vents as well.

I challenge a full assault squad to take down a walker with all their rockets, or put a few clips into the vents without losing anyone! The reason this was so epic was the sheer ridiculousness of the attack on the surface of it. Rockets really don't hurt that bad, and as a walker pilot I wouldn't feel threatened. However, the spread was pretty much the walker's entire field of vision, prevented Global's sneak to the railgun from being discovered, and preventing the walker from targeting us accurately. He didn't know we didn't have an engineer, and when the railgun started, he must have wondered where it came from.

We've took on down on Cerbere Landing right outside of Church. The walker was EMP locked but there were no engineers to be found. We took it out stictly by shooting the vents and the whole time we were doing it I kept expecting the two ton teabag, which never came - chalk it up to a noob pilot .

Can you crouch the walker when EMPed?

That depends on the support person. If they miss a beat, run out of EMPs, miss all together, or are tossing from a long distance then yes, the walker could crouch or rotate it's torso, take a step, etc.
