Re: 1.4 beta final released
This should be interesting: EU and PAC troops fighting on U.S. soil. Where's the National Guard?
I wonder if we'll find frozen U.S. troops along the highway...

The US is further South than Europe, so you'd expect it to generally have less ice then Europe. I mean Gibraltar is about as far north as North Carolina. The point is though, this is a video game. So EA can do whatever they want. If they wanted to include the US they could have easily done so, it's not like they did an in-depth study of climate change to determine the most realistic story. They just made up junk that sounded good, threw it into the future, made some cool weapons, and created a new game. They were probably planning on doing a US expansion pack but decided not to do it because of poor 2142 preformance. As for this patch, I agree it's probably the last. 2142 was kinda like BF2 with new skins, new weapons and a few more toys. I don't think it did as well as they hoped, and so now they want to move on and focus on their next money maker. |

Also, I could be remembering this completely wrong from an Inconvenient Truth. Anyone remember this part of the lecture?

Re: 1.4 beta final released
.... I can't wait for Battlefield: 1776! I would like to see bunny hoppers survive my Kentucky Flintlock!!
Think about the strategy, the whole marches together and then shoots each other, then runs over there with bayonets! That'll kick butt! Who needs gunships when you got donkey-horses!

Re: 1.4 beta final released
Yes, because BF 2142 has some amazing melee hit-detection.
"Affix bayonets! Charge!" *Clank* *Clank* *Cla-BOOM!* "15 seconds to respawn" Or maybe I just suck at knifing. ![]()
