Apophis has completely re-installed the Conquest server this morning.

For the time being, we are running it at 64 players to test the load. Please log on and put the server through its paces when you can. Map rotation will be different, and settings might be different. Please let us know if you encounter problems, lag, restarts, or otherwise wonky gameplay! This is all in an effort to diagnose/solve the lag and restarting problems. Do you see how he loves us? Send a big thank you to Lorax74 for doing a lot of the grunt work getting things re-configured, and thanks again to our dedicated seeders!

I get the message: *WARNING* punkbuster reports pb server running old version c1.736

After a while i get something like: "can't update pbcl" and then i get kicked.

So you guys need to update the server punkbuster version.

Have you tried manually updating your copy? If not, check out http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=dl-bf2142.php

Yeah, i run pbsetup.exe all the time. This error message is usual caused by the server-side PB version being to low.

Just played a few rounds of Carebear and Gamp Gib. Had about half the enemy team drop out of the match the first Cerbere, but no lag spikes or any other instability.

I keep getting a Punkbuster error. I updated PB with the method Augustus listed. It will just let me on, and 20 secs later, boot me off, with a screen up that says Punkbuster and OK.

This is a fresh install on a fresh computer, so it may not be the server. I'll get on some other servers and see if I have any trouble with them.

Think it could be my firewall? I'm using Vista on a MacBook Pro. It's my first time using Vista, too. I looked at my firewall settings. It's turned on, but it never asked me if running PB was OK or not. I think it did have me say that it was OK to run BF2142 when I started it up the first time.

I played from approx 8:30 est to 11:30 and the server ran great for me. No lag, no hiccups or anything.
