Fileshack works...that link is for one of their public servers that makes you wait about a minute before your can start. I will check the TG server status in a minute

Well, now at least it says I have an older version than the current server...Bugger.

edit: The fileshack link does not work for me.
edit2: Redownloaded, says I already have the new version, yet it won't let me on the TG server. *sigh* Guess I'm going to reinstall everything.

Anyone having special problems with the Tampa map? I can play the others fine (on another server, not TG), but Tampa triggered a crash.

It's a Battlefield game. Crazy-ass, bizarre bugs are the norm, unfortunately.

So it downloads from filefront, I go to run it, I hear my machine hum along merrily for about 20 seconds, then: You guessed it, nothing happens. Awesome, I patch that doesn't patch.

Hah! Go to hell, EA. After two complete re-installs, several redownloads, and a long period of frustration, I finally beat you. The TG server now shows up as playable. Now all I have to do is reconfigure my mic, reset all my settings, and hope that nothing more pops up from nowhere.

But first, I'm going to fencing. Stabbing someone with a metal object is going to feel soooo good right now.

I was able to successfully download the beta version earlier... and it only showed like 4 servers. so i re-downloaded the 'new update' and each time i try to install it, it says i have a newer version installed. the opening still says there's an update available, EA DL Manager doesn't give me the download, and i can't get rid of it. also, only 2 to 3 servers show up. Anyone else having any better luck?
