First i'm in Indiana great ping smooth running for me , i join a sqaud before i do anything else -but at 48 and 49 keep getting disconnected after loadup and tonight while commanding i get a punkbuster disconnect with no reason and can't come back -all i was doing was commanding for one -for 2 i was only commanding for less than 2 mins. I only have these issues on your server , i've been thinking in the few days i've played on your server to become a supporter but it seems theres a few issues (good servers hard to find).
I wouldn't mind spending money on a good server thats well watched which yours seems to be but it seems to me that something is not right maybe settings or whatever.
If theres something i'm missing i'm sorry but i read rules I can't place what i might have done wrong.
I hope none of this comes across wrong but i've had second thoughts of being a donater
cause of these problems i'd like to know what i've done wrong to cause these problems.

PM one of the admins, Eroak, Lorax74, or Augustus Gloop. They should be able to look in the logs and see why you were disconnected.

Just as a question, were you fighting while commanding? That will get you kicked. In my sig. click on the "New to TG? Start here" link. That will describe a number of accepted and frowned upon activities while on the server.

Hello Gabriel and welcome to TG !

You will be disconnected by the "Supporting Member Reserved Slot" script that kicks non-supporting players. This happens when a supporting member connects and the server has already 50 players.

I thought it might been because i was in a tank when first excepted as commander but 1 min after i was killed and spent at least 3 mins. in uncap then disconnect.
I have no problem with the supporting member support but tonight when i joined it was 47/52 and i joined sqaud right off as always , no commander i put in for that and 4 mins later i get uncalled for punkbuster disconnect and couldn't connect for rejoin same no reason punkbuster so i'm thinking something not set right.
Not really wanting to seem like i'm griping but kinda looking for a home where me and my old mech friends can play , seems like good group but with wierd disconnects kinda makes ya not wanna play on the server anymore.
I did do update of players still wasn't full made no sence for punkbuster disconnects.

have you tried other servers? Is your punkbuster updated? 2142 updated to 1.4?

One other thing to consider is that the server might actually have more than 47 people on it. The server browser for 2142 doesn't update well at all, so it could be that those 3 spots are actually occupied.

I will look through the logs, but I can say with some degree of certainty that you were probably kicked to make room for a supporting member. The server is actually full at 50 out of 52, the two extra slots allow for new members to join while the kick script kicks a non-supporting member.

Yes, this is a well known issue. Don't trust the in-game server browser

Use Game-Monitor, to see TG BF2142 online servers and players info, in real-time.

I am sure that your problem is the "Supporting Members Reserve Slots" script.

Try to see if you have this issue when TG servers are empty.

Welcome Gabriel.

It really is worth the money even once to see if its the problem. Plus... that money not only allows you a spot on the 2142 server, but a reserved slot on any server run by tactical gamer.

The admins around here are really good blokes, so they should be able to pin down what has been gettin' you kicked. Just watch out for Lorax's driving skills.

Just to clarify one thing, not all of the servers hosted by TG have reserve slots, it depends on the game.

Also, wouldnt this fall under the PB issue a few have sometimes that is resolved by downloading the pbupdate tool or what not from their site and running for 2142 specifically?

Possibly, but the times I've had PB kick me for PB reasons, its stated so in the dialog box. Sadly, the kick script doesn't give you a reason and many times, people think they've been kicked for some other bad reason.

Suggestion:

Edit the script to display different messages according to the kick reason variable or exit code.

Should be possible.
