We're keeping the rotation simple because Apo thinks it might have something to do with the lag / crashes.
Hi Augustus and thank you for your reply.

Could you please make a new sticky post with this server map list, and update it when changes occur? It will be very convenient to all of us.

Regarding the maps rotation, I like it as it is, but I would like to add Verdun.

I think it's a well designed, tactical map. I my opinion, Verdun is also the most "artistic" map of BF2142 (by means of textures, colors, environment, etc.)

I played Verdun on TG (that was defore the current patch, ~1 month ago) and had no problems.

And there was lot of players...

What is so convenient about this? I fail to see the benefit of it unless you want to figure out when your favorite map is playing and sit out the other rounds. Besides, the rotation is not set in stone and could be changed on the fly (by an in-game admin for example) and the sticky would be out of sync with the server.

I'm not trying to be difficult, I'm interested in the rationale for it adding a new sticky.

Re: Forgotten Maps

I have a curious idea on a related note. I know that our second server sits mostly idle save Frosty Friday, and it is being phased out eventually. But...

...why not hold the armor maps there, or the maps not in the rotation on server 1? This would give people who like playing those maps a chance to play them without sending others who don't like them away.

Re: Forgotten Maps

I'm new here, and I was wondering about playing the NS maps. Those were a lot of fun, but I know it's your choice on what to put in the server rotation.

Yes, you have right.

As Lorax points out, these issues could affect the community in various ways. It is on the admins to "feel" how the game and the community is going, and define the maplists accordingly.

We just discuss here...

... What about a ... "Forgotten Maps" event?

Sounds like a good thing to me, seeing as how that allows more fresh blood with fewer kick scripts needed.

One thing I don't understand is why Sidi is out. It's a good combo of armor and infantry. It can be an armor fest at times, but not nearly as bad as Tampa.

I've wondered recently about adding a West Coast server. Would this increase TG participation, or not affect it at all?

Re: Forgotten Maps

The second server is very hard to seed, even on Frosty Friday. I'll load the second server with armor maps and we'll see how it does.

*Edit*
The second server's rotation is now:
  1. Highway Tampa
  2. Shuhia Tabia
  3. Verdun
  4. Sidi Power Plant
  5. Minsk
  6. Suez Canal

Note: All maps are 32 player version

Re: Forgotten Maps

Do you spend an equal amount of time as EU and PAC on that map?

Hello Lorax,

Seems that the second server hosts Titan mode.

I did not noticed any changes all these days.

Someone may have switched it over to Titan, I'll look into it.

CampG? Yep, pretty much. I just love it too damn much, other than the TG servers, all of my other fave servers are 24/7 CampG servers . (If you ever do a scrim with CampG I wanna be commander, I mean I know that map blindfolded...and I've thought up some very cool strategies...

Re: Forgotten Maps

Ugh, I can't stand Camp G. Also, does this mean that there are no longer armor maps on the standard Conquest server? I don't mean to be difficult, but I really like having 2-3 armor maps in the rotation. I find them to be a nice break, with a different pace and requiring different tactical thinking. I also like to practice driving around in armor / shooting at armor

Sooo...please don't take armor maps out of the regular conquest server!
