Question Forgotten Maps

Dear all,

I have some questions regarding the maps rotation on the conquest server.

Seems that the server map list, does not include some great maps (in my opinion anyway) like:

Minsk
Verdun
Suez Canal
Shuhia Taiba
Sidi Power Plant

These maps offer lot of tactical action and I really like to play them on the server.

Is there any particular reason to not include these maps?

Maybe it is just me, not beeing online at the right time?

And finally, this is for the Admins: could you please post the server map list?

Regards.

Could have sworn these were in rotation... at least they were before I left for the T-day holiday.

Not sure about these, but I think their in there somewhere.

Could an admin post the current complete rotation?

Re: Forgotten Maps

I'm pretty sure everything but Minsk is still in the rotation.

I personally love these maps beyond any others in the game, as you said, there's a lot more tactical thinking going on in terms of holding/taking flags; not many chokepoints. On the other end of it, its mostly armor, which can be kinda boring for some.

Agree on the first part.

As of the armor part, we don't have to use it - do we?

Just take or get in any transport to move quick, then play as infantry.

Re: Forgotten Maps

Heh, yeah, thats what I wish more people thought.

Though, for the most part, I think many people are enjoying Tampa. I haven't even touched foot on much of the map yet, too busy playing top gun.

Re: Forgotten Maps

I agree with you guys...I would like to see all but Minsk included. More maps = greater variety = longer attention span.

Oh... I'm intimately aware of how to die in an FAV.

Can't wait to get some more driving footage with my favorite FAV driver!

Re: Forgotten Maps

Currently the rotation only has one armor centric map in it at a time, and it's at the tail of the rotation. We have been changing it from time to time for variety but since the latest patch release, the armor map has been Highway Tampa.

I don't have the rotation in front of me, otherwise I'd post it.

Re: Forgotten Maps

I played Verdun late last week on the TG server. It's in there somewhere. And I believe I've played Shuhia a few times recently--in fact, I think that's the map on which I was gunning for ThePromQueen in a gunship squad just the other night. I don't remember seeing Suez or Sidi in there anytime in the recent past, though.

I <3 Highway Tampa. Armor FTW!

Re: Forgotten Maps

Currently the rotation is Belgrade -> Camp Gib -> Cerbere -> Big Tunis -> Berlin -> Shuhia -> Highway Tampa

We're keeping the rotation simple because Apo thinks it might have something to do with the lag / crashes.

Absolutely, I do like these maps, when I'm in a good squad that can use armour effectively, otherwise its basically a waste of time. You're stuck trying to hitch some sort of ride to some sort of battle, and when you get there, as an infantry you're pretty much useless, what with all the armour flying around, and I'm not great with armour when I get me hands on some. I spend almost all my time on foot (unless getting speeding tickets from tanks while in an FAV), I'm a hopeless flyer, I can only fly in a straight line, and even that is a bit of an ask, tanks are too slow and when you're in the walker you're the centre of attention, all of the enemies want to take you down desperately, and if you mess up, you've taken the best vehicle in the game...and wasted it. (APCs are only good when sitting in the 2nd turret and when there's lots of infantry about (FOB )). I like to stick to maps like Camp G and...well...Camp G . (btw, anyone got any tips on how to improve with vehicles for when I come back to 2142?)

Not really entirely my concern or business, but could you possibly split up the armor maps?

Re: Forgotten Maps

The issue with the armor maps is that they tend to see significant amount of player drop off and as a result it's hard to figure out were to insert them in the rotation.
