Re: My baby's gone...
No, I plugged it into a USB hub that I had lying around, that is what killed it (at least I'm 99% sure anyway). I typically have my n52 plugged into the front port so I can unplug it when starting up certain games like ArmA that won't see it and a joystick if both are plugged in when the game loads. Too damn hard to reach behind the PC all the time.

Re: My baby's gone...
Hello,
I am just amazed with the stuff you people use Computer Human Interfaces: It's an engineering discipline and can make a difference in how we interact with computers (and games )Lorax, I feel sad for your loss. Hope you find a new friend soon.

Re: My baby's gone...
Thank you all for the kind words and condolences.
I picked a new one up on the way home from work yesterday. I paid a little more for it this time than last, but I feel it is money well spent. The buttons are a little stiff but after a few days of 2142 I confident that it will break in nicely.

Re: My baby's gone...
Ouch, I could have bought 6!
The new one looks nice, but for $69.99 I'll have to stick with the vanilla model. The more responsive keys are definitely attractive though.

Re: My baby's gone...
I moved the palm rest to the back position and found that to be much more comfortable. You have to pry a bit and pull straight up, it will pop off and then just reposition it.
I tried moving the WASD keys over a key but it didn't feel right at all. The only hints I can give about my personal config is to look at and understand the red shift state (key 14) and ignore the Green state (I don't use it).

Re: My baby's gone...
Question: should I get an N52? I've been playing fps games with a keyboard for years, and have not felt the need for something better. Is it something that actually improves your game, or just gives more comfort. Ease of use would be a factor, too. Feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: My baby's gone...
I <3 my Nostromo, not only for Battlefield, but for other games, as well. I've used mine for World of Warcraft and (very briefly) for Dark Ages of Camelot.

Re: My baby's gone...
heh, You make it sound so bad to do what you have to do with a "normal" keyboard. I use a GE generic ps2 mouse and keyboard for all my gaming habits. I know there's things I'm missing out on, but atleast I can say I earned all my stats with the basics

Re: My baby's gone...
What server did you play on DAoC, Arithea? I always thought it was one of the best MMOs out there in terms of PvP (nothing beats RvR imo) -- I have a realm rank 7 runemaster on Guinevere who I haven't touched in a long time...
