Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread

There really is no pronunciation for my name. Its just a deviation of my real name so just call me X or Chris.

*bzzt!*

Holy thread necromancy, Batman!

Bumped for the new people. We've had quite a few tongue-twisters sign up in the past few months, and I think I've heard a few more permutations on Insunabula's name lately.

Mine is very hard. I'm O'Neill. Learn this now, It's with 2 "L"s. Not one, not three, but 2. There is another Col. O'Neil and he has no sense of humor at all.....

Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread

Lord + Kelvin = LordKelvin

And its KELVIN, not "Kevin". I will castrate the next person who calls me "Kevin".

Most people just call me "Lord" or "Kelvin". Either is fine.

Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread

I've provided a link to assist anyone who has trouble with my name. Hang in there, it's near the end, but please stay tuned for many other humorous names.

When my brother, son and friends started playing BF1942, we were huge MST3K fans, so we all had names from Space Mutiny.

Obviously, I was BigMcLargeHuge <= The Huge won't fit in the 2142 name box. Too Big I guess.

My brother is 'BlastHardCheese'. Friend was 'GristleMcThornbody'. My son is 'BeefBlastBody'.

Melee (may-lay). There, was that so hard? People say it correctly in normal conversation, but since they don't know how to spell it, otherwise bright people read it as "mee-lee". Oh well, I'm so used to it I hardly notice it any more.

YdoUwant2know

As in the question: Why do you want to know?

I know it is a bit of a mouth full, but it is a moniker I have been using since the 5th grade when I first started using the Interwebs. I guess I just liked the fun with anonymity, and you have to admit it has lead to some fun times on TeamSpeak.

Me: "Hey so and so can I get an invite?"

So and so:"Sure thing who wants that invite?"

Me:"YdoUwant2know"

So and so:"Umm... so I can invite you?"

For those of you that don't want to shout out a complete sentence to get my attention, Just call me Y for short.

Hey! I resemble that comment!

Cheburash.
Che (as in the political leader)
Bu (boo!)
Rash (rush)

I respond to "Cheb" quite willingly. I also unwillingly (but quickly) respond to suppressing fire.

It was supposed to be an even more bewildering Cheburashka (link to pronounciation guide be added after I spam my way to 15 posts), but woe is me: BF2142 truncates the soldier names at 10 characters.

A quick way to get into Zho's bad books is to call him Zohan.
I have no idea where this even comes from but it's not in the least bit amusing. Zho becomes a very unhappy boy, furrows his brows, and dons a funny hat.

And then bad things happen.
