Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread
I know where the reference comes from, it's just annoying as all heck.

Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread
Ok, so even after being here so long, only my squad mates and one or two others can pronounce my name right.
So here we go. xrisonfire08 derives from "Chris on fire" Now, you may choose to call me X (like most do) Cross (like Takk does) or Chris (like Zhohar does). Not that hard. I mean really.

pronounced... DERRRRR..CHICKEN! :P _________________ My alias is something I just literally invented. Got tired of using the same two aliases for over ten years. I think it's an actual word in some Eastern European language, but I'm not sure. I've done multiple searches and haven't turned up much, so I guess it's good! :P I like to be an individual, just like everybody else... It's also fun to use because of the way it's spelled, lends to a lot of pronunciations (or in the case of Zhohar, Bomber, Stark, and a few others, I'm somehow a kitchen utensil... and I think someone called me "SPLAT" once...yes I'm a fairly poor moving target thank you...) and can give an idea as to where someone is from. I've heard SPOO-LATT, SPEW-LATT, SPOO-LAYT... Vowels tell all. You cannot hide! The intended pronunciation is "SPOO-LOT". Or for those who can manage to screw up the letter O, "SPOOH-LAHT". I tend to be alternately amused, and throw up a little in my mouth, when people say "spew-lot". Granted, my tactics sometimes cause people to cough up a little bit.... but come on! I shower daily, I only pick my nose when people aren't around, though I'm also something of a germophobe... I've got a pretty face, and children don't run in fear so I can't be so offensive that you'd want to lose your lunch!
