Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread
I see my name pronounced as "ree-ven-gard", although I also answer to "rai-ven".
I don't talk much on TS but here's how I pronounced some of the TG names in my head during those quick glances on the team lists and browsing around the forums. (Before I read this thread anyway) machowner = "ma-chow-ner" rali3gh = "ra-lei" razczak = "rack-sack" and whenever I see Eroak's name, I can't shake the thought of seeing a frog with a shotgun for some reason =D

Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread
I don´t think anyone will have any problems with my name.
black or mirror works also fine.

Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread
Nathrael? Well, if you know how to pronounce German (or Latin, which is pronounced pretty similar), you should know how to pronounce my nick, if not, well; according to the IPA chart I found, it should sound like "N-ɑː-thr-ɑː-e-l".
The "a"s as in "far" (just a lot faster; if you have ever seen someone speaking proper German: "a" like in "Hallo"), and the "e" as in "pen". |

FL1Pmode is easy enough. FLIP as in flip over, or flipped car, and mode is...just mode like in easy mode or hard mode.
apparently FLIP seems to stand out so people just call me that. |

Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread
Pa-LUU-ka, as in "WATCH OUT ya big Palooka", which is what they sometimes said in the original Battlefield 1942 when you shot a friendly. In real life Joe Palooka was a character in the most popular cartoon strip during WWII.
And no, I have never purposely taken a shot at you while you were on my team, its just that maybe I get confused at times. Not only that, sometimes I don't hear voices if there are a lot of action noises going on, a consequence of hearing loss suffered doing my job in Turkey and Saudi Arabia. But no worries, when I do tk you, I'll die trying to revive you. Lock and load! ![]() |

Raz-ack. Its supposed to be Ras-check (as in czech republick), I switched the s and z so its now Raz-ack, Raz-csack, or something similar. Raz, Raz-ack, or Ra-check are your best bets.

Nope, born in India and lived in the US for the last 15 years. My family lives in the DC metro region and I'm going to school in Pittsburgh. Never been to eastern Europe. The name, by the way, was stolen from Starship Troopers.
