Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread

Yeah, I suppose it is.

I learned it natively, so I need to be more understanding when people can't pronounce my real name. Really, like some people have started calling me Kelvin instead of my actual name. XD

Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread

I know that my in game name for BF2142 is Beinseth. Normally I use the name Seth or Sethiol or can even be found by Sgt Seth. Its just a name I have stuck with for many of games for many of years. The problem came when I started playing 2142 I didnt realize what I was doing with my unlocks and kinda screwed my self righ out of the gate. So I created Beinseth and am trying to get used to it on comms. Its pronounced like Be In Seth. then just kinda slur it together. Beinseth. Or just Seth works for me.

If it's not a too personal question, may I ask if you are of Indian origin yourself, or were your parents not Indian but just lived there for a while or so.

That's really cool. I've never been to Hungary but I hear it is beautiful. I hope to go one day.

I am not Indian, my parents were teaching there while I was born.

Ah, I see, kewl.

You ever go back for holidays or anything? Since I guess you don't remember it much in those early days.

That's because I suck less as a sniper.

But only on alternating Thursdays.

Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread

Just one thing more I have to add-

Please, please please call me Adax, or Adaxa. I get terribly confused when you say "Adam, come with me," or "Axe, go up that building." For my sake, please don't shorten my name any further than it is.

Although I have to admit, Axe does sound pretty cool.

OK...here goes...

"Kul-Nee"

Where the 'u' in "Kul" is like 'uh', not 'oo'.

I got the idea when I first got the game and was wondering what to name my guy...then I randomly thought of the character Culny the Scorge from Redwall. =|

Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread

Thanks mirror for bumping this, I should have seen this already but in the past was very lazy with forums. My forum name (purplehaze) was my in-game name forevor, across many games starting with cs, tfc, dod, but with 2142 decided to switch it up.

Thank you all for learning me how to spoke your names real good!

Anyways, mine is straight-forward - most commonly just "house" or "keeper" yes, from tommy boy. don't ask but it became a classic saying with my friends for some reason.

And I have been known to clean house and leave my enemies folded in a nice neat pile in the corner, make the bed real tight and place a mint on their pillows.
