Mine is the initials of my wife and kids for any who haven't asked me in VOiP yet.
My neighbor started calling me FUBAR at the ripe age of thirteen while we where drinking beer and toking.......I moved to Maryland in '98 and adopted MD on the front of Fubar. I moved back to Delaware about to years ago, but everyone I have known since '98 knows me as MDFubar.

Lol, I dunno why, but I just say people's names in my head as I see them, and Insunabula just roles off the tongue for me, yet I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN HIS SQUAD. I need to find you one of these days just to show you that I can pronounce your name .

Lol, I saw that thread too, and just yesterday he was in my squad and just when I was about to give him an order, I said "daw-hee" and I heard a "thanks" just before I gave the order to him, .

Mine is quite easy.....jazz-eee 2. Being Irish I have no problem with Daithi although I would have said it more like dotty! Damn my Dublin accent!

FYAH = Feeyah
The is the consensus pronunciation I prefer after months here on the TG conquest server, and what I'm usually called in the 21st, (among other things).

FYAH, I thought yours would be F Yah! with the exclamation. Feeyah it is. I don't think I need to give out a pronunciation lesson for mine. "Grimm" is good enough over VOIP. As for Lyramion I'm generally not on his team and tend to say things unprintable when I see him in the vicinity.

Mine came from (oh by, showing my age here) my favorite band, Queensryche. Rage4Order was an album released in 1986, one of my favorites. I have a really good friend that plays under the name opmindcrimeII as well. What can I say, just a huge fan and I thought the name was cool, going to see them in concert again in January, will be the 9th time I have seen them live.

Rage, I saw them in concert in Philadelphia. They opened for KISS, it was the last "general Admission" concert that the Spectrum had. What an awsome performance, I didn't even know who they where................getting old......LOL

Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread

Quick German lesson for everyone, Pfeil is pronounced "file" in English. It is a common word that means arrow.

You'd be right there. Although the use of the word gaelic seems highly suspect to me

The downside to this thread is we've lost any excuse for pronouncing anyone wrong.

Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread

Draeh pronounced like dray or drey.

And it has nothing to do with Dr. Dre.

In actuality, it is my last name spelled backwards.
