Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread
If you cant pronounce my name, you need to rent the movie. Ben Stein says it nice and slow several times in a row. Oddly enough, people really do screw it up, calling me "bull-er" or "fenris", like im one of the summons from Final Fantasy. It's simple to say: feh-riss bue-ler. I respond to either half though.
EDIT: Yes, i know the FF summon was Fenrir, not fenris, but it's a close enough approximation that it makes me think of it when people call me that.

Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread
I saw FYAH labeled across a guitar on a CoC video, and originally intended it as FYAH! This being the family friendly place that it is, I think Feeyah works better, and thats how most pronounced it. I knew exactly where Rage's name came from and the album is somewhere here on a shelf. I've also squadded a few times with our friend to the north, Insta-Bulla, that one made me laugh.

Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread
All the consonants in my name are actually silent, so its actually pronounced aeioe. Or for the people who are a little slow ae-ioe. I don't think anyone has actually gotten it right yet.

Raz works quite well, though Raz-ksack works fine. The k blends into the last s. Think of the ending sound to flasks.

Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread
This thread is too long. Do we REALLY have trouble saying people's names...
Mass-tur, Ed-it-ur, I-n, Chi-ef. If you can't say that, go retake 7th grade English and read The Giver again!

Bagheera is typically pronounced; Buh Gee (hard G, like saying the word "Gi" for martial arts uniforms) Rah Or you can just call me Bag over VOIP. Everyone else does. Bagheera means panther, and the actual proper spelling is Baghira. However, the west typically knows the word with two 'e's. |

Re: The Player Name Pronounciation Thread
Really, if you need to learn how to pronounce my name, you need serious help. It's about as simple as they come.
Vortex. Don't need to worry about the numbers on the end - calling me Vortex or calling me Vort works just fine. ...of course, my late grandmother would say, "You can call me anything you want, just don't call me late to dinner." LOL
