This is truly what makes TG what it is. New members being welcomed and feeling enough of a sense of belonging that after one day they are welcoming other new members. Nice!

Welcome to TG!

Re: New here, both at TG and 2142.

Thank you all for your welcomes. Im sure all of your advice would have helped, and may still, but I have already stuck my foot in the water, so to speak, and have had several successful attempts at both SL and CO. My rank is rising fairly quickly, and I think Im getting the hang of this. Then again, I could be wrong. :]

You were commanding last night (1/7) while I was doing some SL work, if memory serves me correctly. I have to say that you did a fine job as CO - even if I did get a bit snippy during Belgrade when I was trying to do some covert-ops work early on.

It's great your taking these roles on early, I admire that, I've only plucked up the courage to take on roles of this size much later on. Keep going, and those early ranks will come much easier than the later ones (well actually that depends on your play time really, but if you're as semi-casual as me, this will be the case), which is why it's good to use these early unlocks quite wisely, so you don't regret your choices a little later on.

Re: New here, both at TG and 2142.

Thanks Sharingan. I think Im going to get all of my upgrades as Support first, then move on to Assault. Recon will definitely be my last.

I think its great fun being CO. Most of the time, my squads follow commands. I must acknowledge one particular member, though his name escapes me. It might have been Editor, but I dont know (if anyone recalls this being you, please speak up. I would like to send in a recommendation for you :]). I was CO, commanding 3 full squads and 1 squad with with only the SL. It was round two at a map that I cant remember the name of to save my life. The SL, and full squad to be exact, that needs commending was squad three. I wont go into complete detail but basically, the squad split up into two groups of 3 and held down two locations for a lot of the game, playground and monorail.

Playground and monorail are two control points on the map Belgrade. It's a snowy map with lots of control points, and the one on the far left on the map is the flag "statue", where the walker spawns. You get tanks, FAVs (buggys) and APCs at the base.

Does this sound like the map?
