Re: Dog Tags

I have 532 kills and 458 unique tags.

I also have 150 deaths with the knife, but, I can't remember if that means I've been killed 150 times with the knife, or if it means I've died 150 times with the knife in my hand. Either way it seems pretty high.

Deaths do to a knife, wonder how many of those are Reapers ?

Re: Dog Tags

I like to use the knife to say "I snuck up on you!"
I've got 200-something tags, but really only care about ones with |TG| in front of them.
One time I tried to knife somebody who was knifing a team-mate, and we both missed, except I accidentally knifed the team-mate. So, um, don't do that!

Re: Dog Tags

Tonight I had my best knifing experience. On Suez Canal we were defending Oil Station as EU. PAC had a pesky sniper who was sniping from within the UCB. So, I take of running from Oil Station, run to the rear of the PAC UCB, through the hole in the fence, under a gunship that was hovering over the launch pad (repairing?), around two assaults waiting for something, who knows what, up the ladder all the way to the top of the oil tank, whipped out my knife and missed the first three attempts. I guess he wasn't paying much attenition to his audio, good for me - bad for him, because on my fourth swing I got 'im. I promptly hopped off the roof, left the UCB and rejoined my squad. All without using active camo .

Yea I remember you doing that and laughing hard right up until the server crashed and went to CS: S. Personally I don't like using the knife have never got use to it. I have 44 dog tag all unique. When I sneak up on some one and I’m an Assault I’ll use my defib to kill them. Now that’s funny thing to do (too bad there’s no way of finding out how many kills you have with the Defib.)

I definitely have more kills with my defib than my knife. Defib kills are always comical. I remember one night on Cerbere. I was PAC on the stairs that lead up the wall North of South Town. I had killed an EU right at the top and then rezzed a buddy. An EU around the corner revived his buddy on the stairs. With my defib still out, I quickly defib'd him and we began a defib challenge. I must have defib'd that poor guy to death at least 5 times before the other medic gave up and tried to do me in. Funny thing was, when the other medic stepped onto the stairs to kill me, I defib'd him too.

I have 598 unique dog tags, and do not like knife only servers. Originally, the point of using the knife is so you can kill hostiles quietly, taking out a whole squad, rather than just two or three of them a.k.a run out of ammo, guy heres shots, turns around, and shoots.
One of the most satisfying things that can happen on the battlefield is sneaking up behind an entire squad of rocket-spammers,and taking 6 dogtags with you as you run from the scene of mass-mutilation. lol

Re: Dog Tags

I don't know and cannot be bothered checking. Knifing someone isn't an achievement worth noting to me. I knife only for tactical reasons (silence, or ammunition conservation). Winning is more important.

Re: Dog Tags

118 unique tags.

I joined right after the Highway Tampa beta rolled out and accidentally dl'd the patch, so I spent my first few months playing on small servers on HT.

Which taught me early on that when attacking the center node (name escapes me right now,) always check for snipers on the towers. Hence - 118 dog tags.

Re: Dog Tags

I went on knife servers for the rush, and because I'm not too good at snap-shooting.
Of course, this means that it's all the more humiliating if I get shot in the face while doing it.
