You obviously haven't played against Lyra much...

Re: Dog Tags

The other night, at about 10 Pacific time, I was in a squad with Smachin, and we were down 30 - 200, give or take. Realizing how defeat was inevitable, we decided to just try and get tags when ever we could. I wouldnt do that under any other circumstance's, but it was damn fun. I got 4 in about 2 minutes.

Re: Dog Tags

The only time I use the knife is when it makes sense tactically. If I"m close to somebody sometime it's the best weapon. I might use it on a sniper who is facing away, but usually I don't. I'd rather just get the easy kill with a gun and not risk it.

Re: Dog Tags

The knife kill is the ultimate finesse maneuver. In other words, by far the most efficient way to kill someone (silently and without spending ammo) it works better if you are moving alone and flanking behind a team or squad. THis is probably why not many TGers have a large ammount of tags. Obviously Lyra is the exception. lol

Re: Dog Tags

Lorax, i dont mean that il go on sprees, i mean that when playing in general on whatever server, regardless of if its TG or not, i may occasionally knife somebody, and as a key gameplay element, there is no reason for me to not use it sometimes...

obviously im not stupid enough to spree kill with a knife, or go on any sort of rampage :/

There is therefore no reason i wouldnt put together any montage ..
it will be fun, and wont inflict upon anybody else, and its not exactly making tg look bad, its adding a fun element...

:/ dont know why your so against it, maybe you thought i meant going on sprees?

later

I got into a bit of a knife fight with him yesterday. He is a BEAST. Unfortunately, someone emptied their clip into him before we could conclude our standoff.

I must have defib'd that poor guy to death at least 5 times before the other medic gave up and tried to do me in. Funny thing was, when the other medic stepped onto the stairs to kill me, I defib'd him too.
Until I read this thread, I had no idea the defib could kill as well as revive.

-and I can't count how many times I've been killed while changing weapons from the defib after spotting the enemy and going "ah crap..."

Some of my favorite kills are with the defib.

Re: Dog Tags

I remember testing that for the first time in some random match on Camp G... I had no time left to switch weapons so I just charged the guy with the defibrillator. It was, to my relief, effective. From my short time playing Battlefield 2, I remembered the defib kills, and just went for it, hoping it would be the same.

My favorite kills are Parachute stomping! When you crush your opponent with your parachute, and he is unrevivable! My least favorite kill is when I crush a friendly Squad Leader with my parachute, he is unrevivable!

Lol, I've gotten 5 pod kills, where I podded out of the Titan, and crushed someone as I landed.

Re: Dog Tags

Gotta love all these. I always get a great laugh from all these.

I'm kinda bored of the knife now. I got my collectors gold badge in my 2nd month of playing I believe.

Lol, sometimes on Titan mode, when the titans are close enough to one another, I hunt cows with the pods. Gotten about 5 kills at once, one time.
It's really bloody fun.

Lol, no they were all in an air transport.
A pod will take out anything that's flying.
'Cept a titan, sadly...
