Smile multi-thanks

I recived a few thanks for the job I do here at TG and I'm a modist person. I don't take thanks and gifts well. I just tell people I'm doing my job and I still believe that. But when people give me thanks I often have to let them know I feel the same way about them.

Lately I've noticed the 2142 part of TG is getting better. No one has really said anything, but I feel we all need to acknowledge it and give ourselves a pat on the back. We have picked up new supporting members. More and more 2142 players are becoming involved with other parts of TG. 2142 is a new gateway for TG just how it started with CS:S and BF2.

The IHS's. We are the community role models. We are the recruiters. We passively enforce teamplay. If they don't don't play together, they never do any good. They have to work together or they find another server. We also have to give credits the the 1st MIP, 2nd BCT, and the 7th Rangers. They have disbanded, but they showen us, the newer veterns how to play the right way, the TG way. Some of them left. Some are still here. Some have came back from long breaks. Make sure they know they are still welcome as ever and they can still teach us a few new tricks.

Supporting members. I always find myself reminding the community that if it wasn't for supporting members, we would be here. We wouldn't have the servers we play on. We wouldn't have FTP and TG e-mail. We wouldn't have this enormous website of 20,000 members! I find it to be a honor to be part of such great and ever increasing community.

The non-paying members. I don't like to call them non-supporting members. Even though you can't pay TG a donation. Your still supporting us. Your playing be our rules and theory. Your here adding tips and tactics. Whatever your reasons are for not adding to the money bucket, don't feel your any less of the TG member or teamplayer. You all still deserve a big thanks to.

Over all we haven't had much drama in some time. We all hate to deal with it but we do. Our 2142 community is stable as it can be. Our TeamSpeak channel is alive with activity, Remember to tell new people in your VOIP squads that we have a TS channel and to come join it. We are not only squad leaders, we are playing a fine set of rules and you might not know it, but your also promoters of TG! Make sure people know what we are and how to get there. Turn them to the dark side! Thank you everyone and enjoy your play on TG!

The cake is a lie!

I have to say that not only are the 2142 servers great, but seeing the IHS guys roll in and own it up really made me want to get involved. I always felt I was good, but I wanted to see how good I could become by REALLY learning the TG method.

We go forth to convert the waiting masses... Put away those bunny hops I say unto you. Come to the light and gaming salvation that is TG. Come forth brothers into the squad and be revived. Never again left to die alone as aimless medics steal your kit and leave you for dead. Rejoice in the sound that is your squad revealing a wealth of awareness and camaraderie, may the headset become your stalwart battle companion.

All hail the way of gaming that is TG!

Re: multi-thanks

Indeed dreah, we arose from the chaos and fire laid down by the internet lone-wolving heathens and with the holy book of SOP's stood upon the fallen bodies of our enemy cast-down by our righteous and annointed weapons. We call upon all those who are lost and wandering to unite under the TG logo-flag and hold back the pink tide of bunnyhoppers.

Together we shall bless those who stand before us and convert them from the run'n'gun doctrines they have so foolishly embraced and sheppard them towards the blessed light of the TG Primer canticles, to refuse such wisdoms shall invite dispair.

All hail teamplay, all hail communication and all hail Tactical Gamer !!!

And don't forget the beer and pizza

I feel like the TG primer and the gentlemans' agreement are the shining fortress walls keeping the pubbie hordes at bay. We can't close the doors forever because we need new blood to keep us strong, and now and then the hordes invade; forcing Eroak to pause the server and make all the barbarians cry with his stern talking to.

No kidding....Saturday night was a ban-fest of base campers. I appreciate the environment everyone has set up here. BF2142 brought me here. The welcolme message with the server rules was what kept me here. I think setting the proper expectations upon entry helps tremendously.

Appreciate the hard work the admins and Eroak have done as it has made a safe haven where the game can be played the way it was meant to be played.

Re: multi-thanks

Thus is by far the best community that I have ever been a part of! I constantly feel the need to take people from the battlefield, pick them up, dust them off, and say "come, follow us to the greatest teamwork experience you will ever have."
In particular, over the past three days, I have had one person on Voip ask how to join TG, one person comment on the structure of our server, another speak of constantly trying to get into our server.
We do have our Admins to thank, then we can thank all of our members!

Which was hilarious.

"Aw, hell. The game just crashed.......wait the server can be paused!?"

I came in on the tail-end of that. It was interesting to see the server's round-countdown timer paused and hear the chatter on TS.
