I have a proposal:

Why not have a monthly "Learn TG" BF2142 event?

This could be a very good TG promotional event.

I know that we do create some "Learn TG" squads during normal play, but what about a more formal and organized event?

I noticed on the servers, that when someone creates a "Learn TG" squad, it gets full immediately. Demand for "Learn TG" is huge! It's seems that we create only one squad like this and on the next round there is not, so many players does not have the chance to be part of that squad.

Some steps I have in mind:

Host the event the last Sunday of each month.
Define who is going to squad leading the various "Learn TG" squads and define the CO's. SM's and CO's should be Supporting Members.
Define the maps and the general learning code of conduct / context.
Make a promotional sticky post about it, and try to get players sign in. We can also post on other non TG game forums about this event.
When we reach the numbers, we can reserve a couple of hours for the event and password the server.
Play 2 rounds or more.
Post team images / squad images / videos / BR files.
Post AAR.

Requirements to sign in:
All new TG forum members, with a non-supporting member status.
The only requirement should be a sign-in to the TG site.

I believe if we setup this event the right way, it could attract potential TG members and why not, new TG Supporting Members.

By having an exclusive "Learn TG" event, it will be more helpfull to the new people to learn about TG, I mean a game full of TG people is THE place to learn the TG style and spirit. No pubies, no IHS competition and we will try to do our best to promote TG to the new people. Just pure "Learn TG" action

I think that's a good recruitment angle for us. If we can find some places outside of TG to publicize, I think we could do it.

Also, as a side note, I notice that the Learn TG squads that are run on our server end up full of TG members half the time. Two or three TG members are helpful; however, since we're running the squad to help educate people on the TG way, we should probably be more careful not to fill the squad up completely with TG members. Just something for people to think on--don't mean to hijack the thread.

I think if we can find enough non-TG forums to promote it there - this could really work out great!

And yes you are absolutly right! So if there is a "Learn TG"squad and there are enough TG-people around why not just create a "TG"squad??!? just a thought ...

I typically do not form a "Learn-TG" squad, but end up with quite a few people jthat learn our way. Noticably so, when they constantly come back to your squad, ask how to join, add you to thier buddy list, and so on.
We could use our buddy lists in game to send invitation to any non-TG'ers.

We can actually port some ideas from out PR events here at TG. Call this "Learn TG" night or just password night.

Password the server and post the password on teamspeak. Put that in the announcement about password night. This makes people register on our forums and get on teamspeak more.
