Talking Noobie on the ground

Hello all, just wanted to let you all know that I'll be frequenting the TG server. I have had a lot of respect for the organization your group has had on BF2. Now that I have moved on to BF2142, I have found that your server seems to be the only one worth devoting any substantial game play to. Well, cya on the battlefield.

p.s. my main soldier is bulletproofsol

Re: Noobie on the ground

Welcome to TG, we apologize in advance for the time you'll lose to real life and other server play time now that you'll be spending most of your time here. It's hard to visit elsewhere, or leave when the gameplay and teamwork exemplified by the 2142 server here gets ahold of you. See you on the battlefield.

Welcome! Remember to read the Rules and SOP forum at some point--see FYAH29's sig (or the top of every forum) for the link. Always glad to see another face.

Welcome to the fray. Read up on the stickies and SOPs to find out more about the TG. Bring a mic and a sense of humor and you'll fit right in.

Your score will just be in the bottom quartile every round for a while Join TG squads whenever possible, and communicate and you will see your standings rise quickly.

Welcome Bulletproof! It was a fun squadding up with you tonight.

Don't know why it felt like we were getting raked, and yet still winning.

Just as a reminder you need to read and follow the rules before you put that tag on. I've seen you around and need to read some more I think.

*tried to post url, but can't yet"
I read the tag guidelines and it didn't specify whether or not i had to be a paying member... ot

If there is anymore I should know about the tags, please let me know. I have been trying to acquire a new mic for better team work, but the only store option within my area is an over priced crap outlet. Anyone have a suggestion for decent headsets?

Re: Noobie on the ground

You've got a lot of enthusiasm, and that's good. I think reaper's probably looking for tighter teamwork. There's a lot of good info on the website regarding tactics. Definitely time well spent.

Good idea to squad up with other TG's for a while till you get the flow...

for headsets:

go sennheiser if you've got the dough, otherwise just pick a budget and stick to it. check out newegg.com

Get something with a long enough cord (>3ft).

good luck in there....

Re: Noobie on the ground

If your'e just looking for a good affordable headset, this is what I use. I haven't had any problems. For the money you can't beat them.

Re: Noobie on the ground

The PC30 works great for me, everything you want from a headset including affordability, and apparently out of all the options I was looking at it was the best "gaming" headset according to a pro gamer.

Plantronics and Sennheiser do the best headsets IMHO, and that best4headsets site will help you look around for a decent pair (but you can probably get them cheaper at places like amazon and newegg).
