Re: Monday 8:45PM EST 'how can you beome an Admin'
I was just under the impression that each IHS member had 1 or more admins on speed dial.

Re: Monday 8:45PM EST 'how can you beome an Admin'
Dont feel too bad guys, over in the PR world, I get regulars and even TG members asking me to handle admin stuff. In the past week alone I think I've had to say "sorry man, I'm not an admin" around 20 or so times. Our admin staff does a hell of a job over a wide variety of games and the support level we get from that is unparalleled in the gaming world. The only way we could possibly have a tighter ship running is if we only played on local servers with bots, so each of us was set to police himself and nobody else. I tip my hat to the guys who do all the nasty legwork that keeps us all playing in style.

Re: Monday 8:45PM EST 'how can you beome an Admin'
Again, I think people take the admin job for granted. Not only is there the responsibility of keeping the server's clean and the rule breakers in check, but it's also to further facilitate the "TG environment". I mean, everytime I encounter a fighting CO or a one-man locked squad, I do my best to get them to adhere to the rules. Whenever that doesn't help, I look for an admin. Sometimes, it works; sometimes, it doesn't. I just think that if fellow TG'ers would occasionally communicate with people who are doing such things, maybe they'll change without the need of an admin.
Admins are, as Eddie Izzard puts it best, people of action. What they say will go, and to say such things you really need to have a handle of how things are run. Therefore, only people who've been at TG for quite sometime are handed over the reins of Admin rights. Not to be rude to said person who came on into TS and wanted to know how to be an admin, but you have to have a level of familiarity and respect within a community to actively enforce it's rules.
