Dude, I was talking away for like three rounds. Oblivious to the fact that no one heard me.

I'm like "Why is everyone calling out contacts right after I say them?....Oh. Damn."

It was my first round of the night and Reaper was the SL and other than me it was all pubs. I love running with Reaper because he is a SL who doesn't take crap from his squad mates and expects nothing more than you to listen to his orders. He never rags on anyone for how much they suck or can't shoot straight but you better damn well do as you are told or you will hear it. Bless Reaper for his numerous attempts to get those guys to listen but they weren't having it. That round ended very bad but every round after that got better and better.

You CANNOT find Titan gameplay and tactics done as good as we do it at TG. I love titan mode because it can be more than "death from above or silo hopping" if you play it right. There was one round led by Rage4order on the HighwayTampa map where we defended the key silo almost all round. We did absolutely NO SILO HOPPING and I never once got touched by the titan guns. We held the majority of the silos all round and ripped through their consoles so fast they could barely push us out of the core. Once They did however, we went back and capped that same key silo (Number 3 on Tampa) and held it. Once they lightened the titan defense, we made another run at the titan, blowing it to smithereens. It was so much fun it really reminded me of why I like the added tactics required to win a desicive titan round on the TG server.
You're talking about the round where we all sat in the transport behind their Titan towards the end talking about the beautiful sunset?

Where we held Silo 1 for the first 10 minutes of the game?

"Tank inc from the North. Oh, two tanks from the North........Oh, man. Three tanks coming in from the North!"

My favorite round had to be us on Sidi when we were covering the center node and had both bridges mined. And was that Mach with the epic pilum shot on the FAV that was just running around the silo in circles?

Not much, except Titan typically takes longer, there is more mobility, and some of us actually like infantry maps. I enjoyed the night, certainly, but after a while the constant vehicle-map got tiresome. It'd be identical to only playing Cerbere and Berlin constantly, eventually you'd get sick of it.

I liked that one too, since it lacked the whack-a-mole feel that a lot of Titan has.

What, you didn't like the single most eventful Titan defense ever?

Actually, I didn't mind that. I was able to sit back, watch the map, and generally relax. Getting in a tank, driving across the map, then getting a gunship missile up the vents doesn't appeal to me. There's a reason I try to get in gunship squads at every opportunity.

Besides, a Titan defense where nobody hits you is far better than trying to attack a well-defended titan. Running down the corridor, trying to get a grenade off before you die, then respawning and doing it all again is worse than slamming your head against a brick wall.

Well, in the game mode's defense. No body had a really well defended Titan last night. I can't think of a single round that had a corridor stalemate all night.

Rage4order's squad ran through a few well defended titan hallways. The key was my Clark and a good medic on my butt.

Even though I bailed early to join the NXS server for some Conquest action (Reaper and Nuck joined me in a bit) I had some really good rounds of Titan.

Moments that stood out the most:
- Getting our Titan down to the point where they needed one missile to win the game, their shields drop, our squad goes in, destroys the consoles and the core, and we win the game. Had us all grinning, I wish I remembered who was in the squad.
- Defending Silo 2 on Shuhia Taiga with Mule from the 21st. We had some real good teamwork in the tank -- almost shot down a gunship once =p

I think that whole group - Machowner/Rage's squads ended up being the top scoring/teamwork squads like 6 rounds in a row.

I was. All I could hear on VOIP was "I can't believe that just happened!"

Yeah, that's been happening a lot on TG lately. I was laughing in complete amazement at the end of the round.
Great Friday guys, looking forward to the next one.

I was on the ground in that round! And I remember my SL saying: "Ok it's over ... hold on a sec. ... WE WON THIS???? How did we do that?!?!"

Was an awesome round!

Re: The Return of TGITF, otherwise known as Thank Goodness it's Titan Friday!

All I'm asking is for the 2nd server to be Conquest instead of Northern Strike since it was empty while most played Titan. Great that everyone liked the change. I played in the Titan rounds, also. But I like the infantry best so I asked for the change. Maybe the 2nd server would fill up if it was conquest when main server is Titan. Doesn't have to be done.

Poor Grim at least you don't have any problems next week... unless it's a Titan throwdown

A more than reasonable request. I can't imagine that the admins could have a problem with this.
