I've done that multiple times, though mostly to parents and friends. I think I did say it to my boss once, though; thankfully, I work with a bunch of retired Navy chiefs (and the odd retired officer). They get it.

...when you wake up shouting "I NEED A REVIVE"

...when you're friend's high and jumping around and you call him a "damn bunnyhopper."

...When you buy crack to get addicted to something other than BF2142 to get yourself off it.

...when you start chopping fingers off to stop yourself from playing.

...and then when you have to resort to doing everything with your feet.

...when you refer to narrow hallways/doorways as chokepoints

...when someone's in your way while your watching TV and you complain because their "in your line of sight"

...when someone hasn't seen you walking around you just have the urge to knife them (I'm not sure if this has anything to do with 2142 though )

...when your talking about pre-WWII history, and when someone says that when Italy had a war with Ethiopia, the League of Nations could have closed the Suez Canal to stop it, you start grinning to yourself, and then you look over to your friend who plays 2142 as well and you know what each other is thinking, and give a little cheer.

...you see an advert for a holiday camp in Gibraltar when driving through a Toll Station, and you think it's starting to get ridiculous now.

You know you play too much BF2142 when you close your eyes to go to sleep (sometimes) and you spot enemies on your minimap. (happens to me all the time z_z!)
