Re: How many new Regulars aren't in an IHS?

It never hurts to play a lot with an IHS, over time you'll notice the different play styles and attitudes, certain goals each one, also you'll make more friends. Back when I was a wee pub I was afraid to go into IHS squads thinking they wouldn't want a pub, but before you know it I played almost every match with one or another.

Don't forget it's ok to ask questions!

I think you are asking the right questions and hope you eventually find a group to play with on a regular basis. If the existing squads do not fit your particular style, I suggest finding a few members that do and start organizing regular gaming sessions together. If you enjoy each other’s camaraderie and want to participate in competitions like those offered by the Battlefield Conquest League, the group could enter a team and use the Tactical Conflict forums to discuss strategies and organize practices. There are a lot of assets available to our members that allow you to accomplish exactly what you want without having to form an In-House Squad.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the IHS system and think it’s an asset to Tactical Gamer. I just think it’s important to know that this is not the only way to build relationships within the community and form regular squads to compete in events and competitions.

Good luck with your search, skullhedman!

Skull, this is not viewed as a negative. The Irreg's is a huge pool of talent that the IHS's seem to "scout" from when looking for new recruits. I can't think of one IHS that does not have at least a few members that started in the Irreg's. By all means, if the Irreg's is not for you, then it's not for you. But don't let your hopes of finding a permanent IHS down the line discourage you from joining them. You may even end up finding a group of guys there that are insterested in starting an IHS as well.

Pfeil, this is great advice, even for people already in an IHS. I know persoanlly that there are a couple people inside of the 8th that have expresed a desire for competition. Competitions are not something that the majority of our squad is into but these members could maybe find a few additional players from another squad or two in the same situation and use the tactical conflict forums to setup a "competition" squad. I can see it now. A mix squad from multiple IHS's getting together on a regular basis for competitions. They could come up with some clever name like |TG-689| if there was members from the 6th, 8th, and 9th.

The 21st is still recruiting. Sent a PM to one of our team Captains: XeroEquality, LordMeatwad, or P.Drona. We currently play BF2142 & COD4 on PC. Several members are also playing a number of familiar XBox titles.

I've been a member for a while now, and was IRR for a bit. When I grow up, I want to be in the 3rd. But I don't think I'm big enough yet.

Re: How many new Regulars aren't in an IHS?

Check out the 21st, they are a fine group of soldiers. They are into the competitions and last I checked, where recruiting. I was a recruit for a bit with them, but I can not put forth the time I think is needed right now to be effective. Squad up with them in the server or join them on TS. Great bunch of people.

Re: How many new Regulars aren't in an IHS?

I responded to your other thread about starting an IHS but I would like to say that the 21st is a good group. They have a foot in on competitive play already and a structure in place. Starting your own IHS takes time, if you want to get into league play quickly, then trying out for a current IHS is your best bet.
