Clan Mod

Hey guys...I downloaded Clan Mod 3.0 a few days ago and really had a blast with it. For those who don't know what it is, it's a BF2142 mod that limits the kits (among other things), making it more challenging. Just so you know, downloading the mod does not effect your original battlefield install. If you want to play regular BF2142 you load that. If you want to play the mod, load it up instead. Here's the link...

Re: Clan Mod

Started playing a bit of this myself recently very tough but very challenging and great for improving your game, some incredibly skilled players play clan mod.
Clan mod is not for everyone as its so difficult , its sometimes hard to enjoy a game as you're getting owned, plus it requires a lot of concentration so i find you can only play a couple of rounds at a time.
Still though worth a peak if you are keen to improve your game.

Re: Clan Mod

Bah, what use are the unlocks when you can use most of them but as said, pretty good for practice.. btw wont a SCAR lose out bigtime against a Krylov?

Re: Clan Mod

well if you are accurate you can kill some1 damn quick with the scar as it has a good rate of fire but yes the krylov is better, but all you have to do is press g over an enemy body. I find though at times the krylov can be a bit hard to stop from spraying even if you only shoot in very short bursts.

Re: Clan Mod

Ever since the 1.4 patch, the SCAR is now on par with the Krylov. I love using the default rifles again.

Re: Clan Mod

Played some 3.0 Clanmod today and it was ****ing great. Many Clan players around and nail biting assaults and standoffs. Excellent practise on Revive / Coverfire / Shooting. It was really fun but then again I have some serious comp play experience - clanmod is just like the good ol times.

Re: Clan Mod

Whaha last week we played against a guy of the france national team..
omg he gives you headshots within half a sec..
no way killing him on long range..
even on close combat it's bloody hard to get them...
Every one who sees those skills on pub servers will defenitly think they cheat.. :P

but you guys should check the monkey gamers clan mod server sometimes..

Re: Clan Mod

I'd be willing to give this a try tonight. Especially since I can't have POE because my BF2 CDs are scratched. Anyone else down for it?
