Re: The Navy has a Rorsch!

There are times I wonder where Metholated gets this stuff.
Then I think about it and my head starts to hurt.
I try not to think of things like that, it makes my logic sense tingle and give off warnings.

From why I understand the reason we haven't employed railguns yet are both the power concerns and the deterioration issue. Also...they're expensive. Lets not forget that part. What's the point of issuing the navy super powered EMRs if they've got no one to shoot them at.

EMR - ElectroMagnetic Rifle (I like that phrase since 'railgun' can be misleading).

As for hover tech? I do believe we have the technology, but again we're limited by cost and power concerns. What's the point of making a hover tank if you have to slap a nuclear generator in it to power the damn thing. I'm not even sure if I'd be able to find a tank crew considering they're sitting on a nuclear bomb with a 'shoot me' sign on it.

Several Billion Dollar Tank vs Thousand Dollar AT Rocket.

Much sadness to everyone involved. Also, neglecting the pure 'coolness' factor of battle mechs...I don't see us going that route either. Its so much cheaper to put a gun on wheels or treads and drive it into combat then it would be to build gun platform on legs. Not to mention the difficulty of actually controlling the thing beyond point and shoot.

There are plenty of sources of infinite power readily available that various defense contractors have been building for upwards of fifty years. Lately they have been called zero point power supplies because they draw power from what you'd think of as the ambient radiation of the universe, or quantum flux, or time itself.

As a result of this activity, and its intriguing theoretical explanation, it has taken on a life of its own in popular culture, appearing in science fiction books, games and movies.
Reading is fun. You should try it. Especially with links you post yourself. ^_^

I did read it, all of it. I assumed people would have the common sense to do their own research instead of just assuming what you see on wikipedia is the absolute truth. Though, I haven't seen any actual zero-point devices in use yet in the public sector, only over-unity devices. (They take an initial input of energy and return more than was consumed initially to begin work)

If you're interested in doing some more research, this is a good place to start:http://www.prahlad.org/pub/bearden/scalar_wars.htm

There are no free-energy (Zero Point) devices on, in, or around our planet. I promise you.

Re: The Navy has a Rorsch!

They're bringing up families and furniture over our southern border to make an income without having to pay income taxes while taking full advantage of government paid wellfare programs.

Don't think they have much time to develop ZPGs (was tempted to use a Stargate ZPM reference there) when they work fields and construction under the table.
