Thumbs up Please Kick someone from your squad......

Did I get your attention? Good!

Over the past few months I have heard people request that someone be kicked from a squad in order to make room for another member, whether TG or IHS. It really doesn't matter, this should not be done in my opinion. I have been quilty of doing just this, and ironically felt guilty for it....hence the post.

People come to our servers, get thier arses kicked and notice the teamwork, structure, and communication with the admins. They notice the smacktards being removed, they ask the rules, they ask about the community..........we reward this with kicking them from our squad to make room for someone else? How would you feel if you where doing a good job and then the next round you got with the same Sl, because you like thier style or something, and they kicked you? Sorry, the girl(or guy to be politically correct) accross the street is a friend and I don't have room for you anymore.
Really, tonight I had a squad of mostly non TGer's and they fought hard and well, stayed organized, relished being #1 squad three times in a row, cheered when we fought off an attack on Outpost during the Berlin map.......and then it happened..........two of them spoke and said:

"this is a really great server, to organization is awsome"

"I have not been on a server with so much teamwork and so much fun"

"I am so glad I found this server, I will be back"

Then I heard someone on TS ask for someone else to make room in a squad for them, I felt as though orphans where getting kicked back into the cold because they didn't know anyone.

If you want your IHS or other buddys in your squad, please just lock it and invite those you want. If you have a full squad, please, please, please do not kick people from it just to make room.

They have come and seen the light, let us not mistreat these poor souls..but welcome them to our community and lead them from the pubbies!

Thanx for reading.

Re: Please Kick someone from your squad......

That's absolutely true Fubar. When I see a TG squad full, I try not to ask to get in because getting kicked off a squad for another person doesn't feel that great for the victim. Something easy to do is just make another squad and people will flood in

Even if I can't get into a TG squad, I look for any other straggler TGers in other squads, so I can at least expect some teamwork from that. Good post Fubar.

Re: Please Kick someone from your squad......

Whenever I'm too late to get into the squad I want to get into, I tend to take up the mantle and squad lead myself. I never ask for a spot by having someone kicked since I think it's rather rude.

Good post! Drat my slow load speed. The best open squads are filled by the time I get there.

Re: Please Kick someone from your squad......

I´m guilty of asking ;_;

Sorry to anyone out there, but it was because there were no other squads open...

I´ll make my own squads if I ever come into that position again.

Re: Please Kick someone from your squad......

Agreed, I think someone asked in Teamspeak last night for me to kick someone from my squad and I looked at my squad list thinking I was going to do it then had second thoughts. I then said I would let the person know if I had a spot open up.

I think it's a bad idea to boot people, especially if they aren't TG, from your squad. Don't get me wrong, I look forward to grouping with TG members but with the way the servers have been going lately it's especially important for us to show these non-TGers what Teamwork is all about.

Re: Please Kick someone from your squad......

I agree with this when the squads don't stay "stuck" from round to round as they are lately. With the "stuck" squads if I want to join up with other "buddies" I have to drop out of a squad or kick people who are "stuck". Once the servers are debugged and back to normal, locking squads to get those you want to squad up with and then opening to the masses will happen just like before the last week or so.

Re: Please Kick someone from your squad......

Good post, Fubar. I used to kick people to make room for other 3rd members back when we first started. Then I stopped, and I never do it anymore.

Re: Please Kick someone from your squad......

I hate it when people ask me this, or worse, ask the SL of the squad I am in!
I also don't like it when people say: Westy, can I have an invite?
Westy, invite please?
Westy, invite?
WESTY INVITE!
WESTYFIELD INVITE ME!!!!<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Makes me even less likely to give them a spot in my squad.
