Team Speak question

I'm still very new to TS and was wondering if there's any way to mute TS when you are in game so that you don't exit out of the program or the channel you are in.

Last night was the second time I had TS going and I couldn't hear my squad because of a conversation some folks were having in the channel. It's not the fault of the folks in the channel and I felt like a jerk asking to be moved to another channel. I don't want this to happen again so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Team Speak question

I believe you can set up keybinds to do almost anything. My problem is usually that when I hit a keybind, TS tries to take the top level of the desktop and minimize 2142.

If you're in the 2142 general channel, don't feel bad asking people to shut up during a battle. They could easily switch out of the channel if they're not in game. If they are in game, they're not playing hard enough!

Hi Modka,

On TS, there is a menu called "Self".

Use it .

Re: Team Speak question

When I am in game I tend to mute TS until the round is over. It helps with in game communication, but it does allow me to jump right into TS to report any shenanigans.

Re: Team Speak question

I know the conversation your talking about . Like they said above, look into setting up a key bind for the mute. It can be a life saver.

Re: Team Speak question

Well, the channel information says that the general channel is for conversation between rounds. You shouldn't feel bad asking them to be quiet when the round is going on. I have noticed this a few times lately and I think the problem is that we are on different servers, such server 1 or server 2. They do not rotate maps at the same time, creating an issue.
Can an admin set up, or have they already, seperate channels for server1 and 2?

Re: Team Speak question

I have CTRL+Shift+M bound to mute and unmute TeamSpeak. I also have CTRL+SHIFT+ '+' and CTRL+SHIFT+ '-' (keypad plus and minus) to raise and lower TS volume by increments of 10% (default).

Re: Team Speak question

I wasn't in a general channel and I appreciate all the responses to my question. I'll see what I can do to get things properly set up before the scrimmage tonight.
