Old Games: How did you get here?

A Challenge for you old-timers: List, in somewhat chronological order, the most significant games of your past. Console, Arcade, PC, heck even board games.

Here's a VERY short list of some of the games I've played that led me 2142.

1) D&D (dice & stuff!)
2) Zork (text only!)
3) Rogue (ASCII for my PC XT)
4) Might&Magic (might have had 64 colors!)
5) Gain Ground (arcade team-based strategy)
6) Gauntlet (more arcade -BB Gun needs food, badly)
7) Doom
8) Diablo
9) Evercrack (i mean quest)
10) Counter-Strike

It is very dark. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

Anyhow, here we go:
  1. Super Mario Bros. (all three)
  2. Duck Hunt (my first FPS! )
  3. Sonic the Hedgehog
  4. Myst
  5. D&D/D20 Modern/various other tabletop games
  6. Zork Nemesis (freaky little game, in places)
  7. The occasional MUD
  8. Diablo II
  9. Halo (1-3)
  10. Counter-Strike (for a brief time)
  11. World of Warcraft--just came back to this one, actually
I'm sure I'm forgetting something.

LOL. I totally forgot about that game. Like riding in a 2142 transport, but less dangerous!

Re: Old Games: How did you get here?

Though I'm 20, the first video game I've played was about five years ago. Hence this list is quite short.

1. Deus Ex. (This still has my heart. Hands down the best video game I've ever played.)
2. Diablo 2. (A brief affair.)
3. Dungeon Siege. (I'll install this every six months or so and play for a few days and uninstall. I do not understand its appeal but that makes it no less potent.)
4. Evermore. (A random MUD.)
5. Quake 3. (Oh, fond memories of the Tier introduction videos. The music on tourney against Klesk is still one of my favourite pieces of video game music. )
6. Unreal Tournament -- 99 and 2004. (Nothing beats Pancake (with Commander male voice) and GODLIKE (with super sexy female voice.))
7. Portal. (Beat it on a friend's computer, second favourite game of all time.)
7. BF2142. (Randomly introduced to this at a LAN party about a year ago, have been in love ever since. )

Re: Old Games: How did you get here?

I don't recall the exact order anymore, but I'll start off with Apple IIc shareware games that used to come in the mail (5.25" discs).

Short list of the most memorable:
Atari 2600 games
Zork Series
Wizardy Series
Ultima Series
Bard's Tale
X-Com
Magic: The Gathering (Card game version, started at second edition, quit after the 4th edition or Ice Age)
Elric (Role Playing)
Call of Cathulu (Role Playing)
Warcraft I & II
Quake I, IIl, and III
Hexen I and II
C&C
Unreal
Unreal Tourniment
Diablo
Various other games between that just didn't do a thing for me
XBox / Xbox 360 games (Including Halo seris) now collecting dust
BF2142
BF2
Orange Box
Wii
The list will continue to grow...
