I got to TG the same way that most have, playing on some servers where jim and bob were shooting like a bunch of headless crazy poeple. I really enjoy the fact that I can count on my fellow TGer's not to be hacking or trying to exploit any part of the game. The games are so much more enjoyable when you don't have to worry about that. The level of teamwork that can be seen on the server is amazing at times. You can get into a squad of half regulars, half pubs, and watch the teamwork develop over the round. I believe this why TG has some many rounds where teams come back in the last few minutes. With the community being so large we also get the chance to hang out with guys on the east coast, west coast, Canada, and Euro players as well. This is a great place to game.

I think that I actually came across TG on the web before encountering tagged players on the server. To be honest, my initial thought was "They let anyone in without a tryout? This clan is going to be full of losers and idiots. That's not how you have teamwork and tactical play."

I can still remember my first experience on the server though, my squad leader shouting orders at me over the thunder of a nearby orbital. Getting cut down and having someone come back for me. I was terrible, and scared I might not be good enough to join.

These days when I see people wearing the tags, I know I can trust them to obey a set of rules that keeps both my fun in mind as well as theirs. I can talk to them without ever having met them before and know they'll listen to my orders/give me orders and won't ignore me for the sake of their own score.

TG means friends, even if I haven't met them yet.

I believe it was experiment actually! I can understand the confusion though! When I say shouting orders, I didn't mean yelling at me, I mean the orbital was right next to us, and we were hunkered down in junk trying not to be a target.

Ive been playing 2142 for two years and this month was the first time I played on a TG server. I didn't even know there was a way to play bf as a team instead of a whole bunch of lonewolfs. To me TG means teamwork and REVIVE,REVIVE,REVIVE!!!!!!!!!!!

If I remember correctly, the first squad I ever joined on TG was led by either Heavy (No Tags at the time I think?), Reader, and Birdie. And as the round began and heard these magical voices come out of my speakers the first thing in my head was, do I belong here?

I remember waiting thirty minutes just to get onto the server, and how awesome it was to get an invite from a |TG| guy! The first three months I played on TG, I learned so much, especially with Bommando playing, I still hear him yelling

I never put the tags on until Crux sent me an invite to join the 3rd, and then I made my donation. But even though I wore the |TG-3rd|, I think it took me a little while longer to understand our Tags.

|TG| tag to me means you'll lead the way through respect, team work, and maturity. But not only that, you'll show the rest of the world how much fun that route is. I think for all who wear the tags, never forget to defend them!

Wearing the |TG| tags means that I have the willpower to strive to be a better player. It means to me that I have played with some truly great players and I aspire to be great like them. I do not need to outscore others. It is nice (on those rare occasions), but not my goal.

It means that I wish to play a game tactically, honestly, maturely and with communication and teamwork as my main objectives.

It means having fun and learning. (There is always something to learn)

Above all else, it shows people that I am not some foul mouthed biggot and that all "ism's" (racism etc) are not wanted or welcome in my presence. I think wearing the tags is like a signing of the gentlemen's agreement.

Not wearing the TG tag means to me I'm not part of a group that wants to be about community but is more about being elitist *******s in a clique that kicks/bans anyone who shoots them. Honestly I won't ever join TG because even though 70% are decent and fun players the other 30 percent are whiny nubs. Too many times do I see people get kicked for "bunny hopping" who wern't bunny hopping or spawn camping 10000 yards from a spawn. Not to mentin don't ever TK punish an a TG member or expect an instant temp ban even though the asshat just ran over 10 teamates and blew up 5 more while giggling like a little girl and patting himself on the back because he got 1 kill while doing so.

The two reasons I play on the TG server is the average higher skill and teamwork level and because the best squads out there are when the top lone wolves get a little frustrated going against TG squads and form omega elite squads to wreck havok against the TG squads.

Mate, whoever you are, here is a personal invitation to join me, anytime, ingame, and I'll show you how fun and down-to-earth TG is.
My soldier name's Zhohar and I'd love to squad up with you. TG isn't about elitism, it's not about banning people, and it certainly ain't about TG stacking against everyone else.

Things do happen, there are imbalanced rounds, and there are just as many pricks in TG as there are in the general populace, but we aim to be and we strive for something greater. You may have had bad experiences on the other side of the fence and that's why I'm inviting you, whoever you are, to play a bit with us. You shouldn't judge us by our bad side alone.

If you're willing to PM me your soldier name, I'll look for you and invite you into my squads. I am damned proud to be a part of TG and you don't know that a lot of people here are biting their tongues at what you've said.

Even more, I am proud of our admins who do the dirty, unpaid, tedious, and frustrating job of keeping our servers clean and fun. Out of the things you've said, belittling our admins is probably the worst: these people do a thankless job out of the good of their own heart and you've just spit in their face.

Not a mad tone in my post, although I agree that no punches should be thrwon at our Admins! In-game name is MDFubar, add me as a buddy and join up. Hell, join us on TS and really be a part of it. The only time I lock my squad is when I am trying to get some 21st Members in my squad, but I unlock as soon as they are in. I always welcome non-Tg people in my squads and Sl more non-TG squads than TG squads. Because it is fun!
