What does it mean to you to wear the |TG| tag? - Page 5

Ive been gaming for a while, i started with Mohaa a few years ago then BF1942, and I have been part of Gaming clans before, BHC and GOC and a few others, but i have to say i have never seen this level of teamwork and commitment to fair play ever before. I have a blast every time I log on that server with those tags on. I have to say it was a rough start, I got banned for being a dumbass, but to my great suprise the professional way the admins handled it was amazing, so I decided to join up right there. So now its been a few months and i hope it never ends, Ive had the most fun gaming ive ever had. Just would like to say thank you to all the admins and behind the scenes people that make this run. Snipe ya all lata!

I dont wear them as my ping at home is way too high 512kbs down 128kbs up and it affects my performance, and my p.c is 5-6 yr old.
So I dont wear the tags simply because I dont want to give TG a bad name, due to my poor performance when playing with high ping and slow p.c.

Sadly, the definition of 'mature' is highly open to interpretation, and I've seen some people here wave the word around while telling people to shut up, or other such double-standards.

Personally, because of how flexible that word is, I don't like it. I speak my mind when I feel I need to. I'm not afraid of calling someone out when I feel they need to be called out, and I don't back down from confrontation. I don't mince words and I don't like overly-suffocating 'play nicey' standards. I'm not going to openly insult someone without reason, but I'll just say I've never been good at the 'turn the other cheek' way of doing things

If I were to pick a word that I like a little better and fits what I like to see in TG members, it'd be... maybe 'wisdom'. It's not about holding your tongue, it's knowing WHEN to hold your tongue. It's not about injecting drama every time you interact with someone, it's about knowing WHAT to say and HOW to say it. If maturity is about the way you act, I reject that term, because in the end, that simply makes us all actors - trying to fit a label that we allow our peers to apply to us. The TG way isn't about conforming. We are all different people from different backgrounds, and it's illogical to even try to pretend we're all going to be the same person that we all want us to be.

If you show intelligence, wisdom, and maybe some good old common sense, it doesn't matter what you're saying, it affects who you are.

Big words coming from the guy that's posted the most off-topic crap in this entire thread. Maybe you'd care to explain how discussing meeting up in-game was more relevant than my input about how I describe the 'TG way'.
