When I first found TG (thanks Silver!) I personally wasnt looking for a clan so I could stick some cool tag in my name to make me l337, I was looking for maturity and teamwork, something in my reletive inexperience with the BF series I thought didn't exist.

After finding and experiencing TG in game and running with some TG squads, I found my way here, to the forums and started reading, reading the primer and the sop's and my eyes started opening to this family that is tactical gamer. After reading all there was to read I thought maybe it's time to put the tags on, I didn't....I didn't think I was ready...Do I really have an understanding of what TG is and what the tag represents...No not yet.

I re-read the rules and the primer, spent some time on the servers and in the forums getting to know those that are TG, what they represent, how they carry themselves.

Putting the tags on to me meant for one accepting TG at its core for what it represents, teamwork, maturity, a place to learn what being part of a premiere online community for mature gamers is truly all about and it also meant that I will abide by and educate others on the rules that we govern ourselves by. I wear my TG tags as a badge of honor, no matter where I go, what server I play on, TG is with me in the way I play and the way I conduct myself.

To be honest the tags mean to me that we are community founded on teamwork, and maturity while still having a good time. I think these tags represent more than a clan, they represent a team, and a family of gamers. Like you Rage I try and keep the name of TG proud no matter what server I am playing on and like to serve as an example to others that aren't in the clan or are interested.

I've always tried to approach games the "TG," way in the past, so finding TG was sort of a coming home thing for me. Felt great to finally find people out there that see things similarly to the way I do.

Now, I see it as a great family of people. We have a really incredible community here and some amazing people that do a lot of work that goes unnoticed.

Wearing the TG tag is a huge point of pride.

I never wore tags before I joined an IHS.

I became a supporting member of TG well before I joined an IHS and enjoyed playing on the server. I found that most of the time I was in a squad that didn't talk alot, but we stuck together and followed our leader. I ran across XeroEquality and " ", who also didn't wear TG tags (at that time) but they were both on the server a lot of the times I was and I knew they'd always be talking with VOIP and giving orders and it would be a great night for gaming. I never wore the tags because I didn't feel on par with the rest of the TG members. It always seemed like the 7th and 9th (I started before the 3rd was formed ) were just such formidable opponents I knew I didn't stack up to their abilities, and I was afraid of the standards that I perceived came with the tag, I just didn't feel up to the responsibility of wearing the tag. This changed when I joined an IHS, I felt like I truly was a part of TG at that time. I needed someone to tell me I was good enough, that is just me though, something I can't explain very well.

The TG tag to me represents gamings absolute highest standard when it comes to following rules, setting a good example for all gamers, having fun, helping others (TG or not) and working together as a team.

I happened upon the TG server by accident, but I liked that squading up was mandatory and people generally used Voip, after spending some time on the server it became clear it was the only one for me.

For me, putting on the |TG|tags means that I believe that the best experiences in gamming comes from teamwork, strategy and hard work...not cheating, cheap tactics and selfishness. I'm proud to wear my tags to show my support for our play style.

I became a supporting member because I believe TG is a safe haven for me to play games the way I want to play them, and to shelter me from those that would love to ruin my enjoyment and genernal idiotic behavior.

I did the very same! I was on the server and the forums for allmost two months before I put the tag on and had understand what it is all about.
These are my reasons for wearing the tag:
- I want to show that I'm part of the greatest community there is!
- I support everything TG stands for!
- I represent TG on the servers!

THis is a great post Rage, I found the server and got addicted to the teamwork and maturity of the players. Since the clan I was in in BF disolved I was not looking for a clan, but a community........that is the ticket. I read the froums, the SOP's, I watched what people where saying to get a feel for what was what and who was who. Then I got tired of being kicked for supporting members, so I became one.
The tags........to me they mean that you are a member of one of the best gaming communities out there, we rise above the rest in maturity, we believe in the greater good over indiviual success, we win and lose as a team, we don't complain(much), we take actions to change problems.
We are a community, the admins are the police, everyone with a TG on thier name should consider themselves Community patrols. You report infractions, try to teach people the right way, understand that they don't know what they don't know.

Lead them to the light, just hope it is not muzzle flash!

I first found TG whilst playing 2142, and though it was a great server, but did nothing about it. Then, when I started PR, I found that server, remembered the name and tried to play on that server as much as possible. I had some really great rounds back in the days of 0.5 (thanks Topcat), and decided to check out tacticalgamer.com.
I was a bit of a forum lurker, until I joined the Irregulars. For me, TG tags mean people look to you to set an example (even though they sometimes ask me to do admin stuff!) It's always nice to squad up with a load of other Irregs or Tgers, it's also important to teach others about TG.

After developing a taste for teamwork and maturity with my Counter-Strike club, I thought there would be nothing as good in gaming anywhere else. As CS eventually fell by the wayside, 2142 was my only hope.

Sadly, server after server was full of chaotic lone-wolfs. The occasional working squad was fun, but too often there was no communication or plan. Just stat padders and punk kids.

Stumbled upon TG servers, and there's been no turning back. The TG tag is a badge of honor. A shining light in the darkness. A...uh... beer in a fridge full of diet cola. Well...you get the idea.

Read all the SOPs and info I could find. Confident I could uphold the TG standard, I put on my shiny TG tag. Intimidating at first (hell..still intimidating at times), wearing the TG tag made me feel like a rookie. A n00b. Surely someone was going to call me out any minute. Fraud!

But no...maturity and respect is welcomed with open arms by all here. Still plenty to learn, but wearing the TG tag reminds me that I have a lot of pubbies to teach what I know. Seeing the TG tag on others means I'll have a great squad, team, or opponent.

Pride. I take pride in wearing the tags and I try to act every round in a way that reflects the TG "way".

When I squad up with a someone with TG tags they are sure to be social, follow orders or give orders, talk, and be a mature team player. It's a brilliant community, and I'm greatful that I was tipped off about this fantastic community.
