I think ramming might be the wrong word for this tactic...nudging or grinding might be better since your not ramming the other tank, your pressing your tank up against it tight to get under it's turret, at least that's what I do in the situation...if you charge at it full speed that might be a different story.

Re: Vehicle assets
any sort of intentional contact to gain an advantage is wrong, as far as I know.
you wouldn't take a M1A1 and ram another tank, that is what the main cannon is for

Re: Vehicle assets
This is the "APC" squad from Belgrade / Berlin.
APC squad agrees 100% with Eroak 1st post.
APC out.

How about we accept your apology at face value and consider it a lesson learned?

Re: Vehicle assets
Blocking a path is legitimate, T-Boning or playing bumper cars is not.

Re: Vehicle assets
Aye, blocks and cutting off is OK. But any intentional ram with another vehicle isn't ok.

Re: Vehicle assets
i'm sure proper judgement will be used before banning somone, as inexperienced pilots may at times plow head long into another transport, or during a dive bombing manuever understimate their speed and crash into the ground vehicle they were attempting to target. i am guilty of this as i am sure alot of people are. theres a benefit to having a dedicated "gunship" squad though.

Re: Vehicle assets
bump
I have seen a lot of text CAPITALS and arguing over assets recently
naming a squad 'GUNSHIP' etc does not give the right to the asset according to our server rules.
According to the gentleman's agreement we do yield for the named squad, but its not a server rule that visitors need to obey.
however the chain of command is a server rule, so if the CO allocates assets to a named squad then that sticks and its breaking rules to then take the asset
If you do have a locked small squad for 'GUNSHIP' etc then if server visitors are also wanting the asset, then its good day to day practice to invite them into your named squad. This is a good practical solution that communicates well with the server visitors
EDIT
I searched for this thread to bump it and its only when i post the bump that i see Rage bumped it 2 hrs ago lol kissy kissy Rage
